McDonald's Eastgates (Clocktower) — Restaurant in Great Britain

I don't visit this place very often. But virtually every time I do I have been harassed or have witnessed people being harassed by a particular individual for money! On my last visit a few days ago I witnessed a young lady pestered three times within minutes by a beggar and threatened for not handing over cash. Security appears non existent at this branch. Also portion sizes of the fries are extremely variable! I ordered 2 medium fries with my meals. One was stuffed to the brim and the other looked more like a small loosely pack in a box of the same size! The drink I ordered fell short of the fill line and I asked a member of staff to replace it. A waste of time, as it basically came back more or less the same with a frothy top to the fill level! I did speak to the assistant manager at the time of the beggar incident and was told that apparently they are working with the Police to issue a banning order to the individual harassing people. All I can say, is that it is taking a longtime to sort out as this has been going on at this branch for along time! I personally would like to eat my food in a safe and harassment free environment and get the correct portion size that I have paid for without having to complain constantly! This branch as it stands offers neither an enjoyable environment or reasonable portion size/value for money! Because of this I will be extremely reluctant to use this branch in future! There's plenty of other places to spend my money with a far more pleasant experience. This branch seems more like a doss house. If you have a young family I would urge you to look elsewhere if you are looking for a pleasant experience. But I guess while the money is dropping in the tills the management/Owners won't bother themselves. Poor at best...

I went on a Monday with my family, it was packed. My husband suffers with anxiety so we left, then returned after an hour hoping it had calmed down. We entered through the upstairs door, and found a table straight away. Myself and my daughter went to order the food downstairs, where it seemed crowded but not as bad as before. Firstly, I couldn't scan the app to obtain my points, there was an error, and my favourite drink was unavailable, chocolate milkshake. The order went through ok, but we didn't receive a receipt, so had no way of knowing which was our meal. Luckily, a member of staff came to put some paper into the machine, and she managed to print off our receipt for us, thankfully. We went over to the collection point and waited.....and waited. Finally, our number was called, but it was only to inform me they hadn't got my husband's Italian Stack! I asked for anything similar. He said it's ok, we have it. Great I thought. After another 15 minutes out food was finally ready, an whole hour all in all! We got to out table, gave everything out, and discovered our vegetarian Deluxe burgers were cold, my husband had been given a completely different burger.....chicken, which he hates! It had to be changed, which meant facing the crowd once again 😡 Not a pleasant experience. Wouldn't rush...

Really should stop visiting this McDonald's but it's so convenient when I finish work. Last night it took me two attempts to order what I wanted at the touch screen kiosk. Had to physically hit my finger in to the screen to just order a burger. When I managed to order the wait was so long. Either one person working and the rest cleaning. Don't get me wrong I know cleaning is important but this is meant to be Fast Food. There was nothing fast about this food. I ordered a burger with extra bacon and pickles. There was no bacon on my burger. The fries were cold before I even left the door. They had been sat out for God knows how long. I had to prompt the manager to give me my drink. Which was also luke warm because it was the first thing made. Think I'm going to avoid maccies for a while now. Everytime I use this one I'm always disappointed. Gone are the days of "Fast Food" they're now "made to order" which... Is ok in some places like actual restaurants / pubs etc but every McDonald's has gone down hill in the past few...
