I went there on a Sunday morning for breakfast quite recently and it was my first visit. Upon entering it was very busy and packed, but I understood why later on...I ordered a Turmeric latte and Hazelnut & Butter porridge. I ordered this latte because it seemed like a popular choice among customers. It was served quickly and in a cute, ceramic, handle-less mug. Personally, I thought it was ok. To me the turmeric wasn't that strong but it was a nice warm drink to have, especially as it was freezing outside. The porridge did not arrive until after 15 minutes, but that was understandable because they were very busy, and the place isn't that big. When your order is ready, the person that brings it to you calls out your name (you tell them this after you've placed an order), and finds you that way, which was a different way to serve food to customers. The porridge looked like a work of art as expected from the images I saw on their website (although, it always looks that bit more better online). It tasted quite nice actually and didn't disappoint. It had just the right amount of sweetness for me, with a nutty texture and flavour, but I also noticed they must have added a pinch of salt (which was fine, as the sweetness balanced it out, but it could have done without it). I was hoping that the porridge would have been warmer, as I like my porridge hot. I really liked how you can pick up a copy of their recipe booklet at the order-counter which you can read while waiting or eating your food/drink. Overall, I definitely enjoyed my first experience there and recommend others to try it. The prices are reasonable and they do have a variety of foods. The people there are very friendly too :) I'll have to go there again to try the...

I had previously dined at the Borough Market branch of 26 Grains, but unfortunately, it closed down. To review the original Covent Garden location for my blog, I decided to head over from my apartment. This branch is situated in Neal's Yard, a secluded, bohemian, pedestrianised area free from traffic.

26 Grains offers a concise menu that differs from the sample version on their website (it would be greatly appreciated if they could upload the actual menu).

They are well-known for their porridge bowls, perfect for winter. In the summer, their yogurt bowls are a delightful alternative.

If you prefer savoury options, try the fried eggs in chili butter with spiced almond and onion crumb, sweet red peppers, labneh, and herbs on sourdough. Other options include cheesy leeks on sourdough, a tuna melt that sold out quickly, and a hot honey pepper toastie.

I chose the courgettes on focaccia with za’atar, green olives, white bean purée, and lemon—a simple yet flavourful dish.

Craving something sweet, I couldn't resist the strawberry brioche with chocolate and cream cheese ganache, which felt more like a dessert.

The café is small inside, but they have a few tables in the courtyard. Be prepared to queue as they don't take reservations.

While I wanted to give this place five stars, the barista was somewhat snippy when I asked for a table, which marred the experience. However, the rest of the staff were lovely. It's a shame how one person's attitude can affect the...

Very disappointed with the service and attitude of staff. The gentleman standing by the entrance had a very tense and negative attitude about him. As soon as I entered he asked me to move to the outside to wait for my take away order. No smile, no, please no, thank you. I was surprised by the way he approached me. When I confronted him about having basic manners the response I got was even more shocking. He stood there looked me dead in the eyes and said " I told you to move twice, what do you want"? I mean is that normal human behaviour? What made matters worse was when his colleague at the bar jumped in without understanding the context of what happened just told me to "let it go and move to the side". As an independent coffee shop owner I am highly disappointed and saddened by what happened. I would never employ staff that are so self-righteous. I can appreciate that during busy hours staff can get stressed, but that is in no way an excuse for rudeness and bad behaviour. So I paid £4.15 for a flat white and got served with an extra dose of high blood pressure to top it off. Nice one guys! I sincerely hope this message reaches the owner and that this behaviour doesn't go unnoticed. You guys came highly recommended by trusted sources, but I'm afraid to say I cannot recommend you guys to anyone. Staff's attitude make or...
