I came here to try their burger as I see all the good reviews. However after waiting for some time I realized they use the same griddle for both the bacon and beef patties, and the same tongs for both the patties and the bacon. Once I noticed that I went to ask for a refund and I explained what I saw, it was my mistake for not realizing it sooner, however once I brought it to the employees' attention and began to ask for a refund because I cannot eat bacon or anything that has touched it, I got yelled at by all the male workers for not mentioning my allergy beforehand, I take full responsibility for that, I was overwhelmed all day and didn't need to get yelled at or blamed for not mentioning that I can't have bacon. Instead of apologizing or giving me my refund immediately the employees went back and forth with me YELLING at me and I was the one who ended up apologizing for the inconvenience. I did end up getting my refund but there was no reason for them to be yelling at me and blaming me. You don't know what a customer has been going through before coming to grab some food. Have some shame and treat your customers with respect. Before I went to grab food I went to Blank Street for coffee beans and the cashier sees me overwhelmed so she speaks to me politely and smiles at me while talking to me. That's basic...

ETA 7/11- Owner reverted and resolved. Always keen to support businesses that willing to take feedback onboard. :)

Was very disappointed but I take it that they are still new and probably still learning the rope. We been to the branch at Brixton and Shoreditch countless times and is a must visit place whenever we have friends visiting abroad, every times we left with a big smiles on our face. We live next to CW and very excited that this is opening. We ordered a miso burger and a BBB our first bites were left with disappointment. We love BBB because of the onion and the garlic loaded mayo, but we couldn't even taste anything resemblance garlic. The burger came cold and fries was undercooked. Maybe they didn't want the bankers to return to work with a stench of garlic breath, who knows? All our visits to BBB have been fabulous but not this. I hope the owner can see this and perhaps do...

A Proper Burger Done Right – Every Time!

I’ve had the Classic Burger from Black Bear Burger in Canary Wharf not once, not twice—but three times now—and each time it’s been absolutely spot-on.

The quality of the beef is what hits you first—juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and clearly well-sourced. It's not trying to be flashy—just honest, high-quality ingredients done exceptionally well. The buns are soft but holds up nicely, and the house sauces tie it all together without overpowering the star of the show: the beef.

The fries? Crispy and addictive. They strike that sweet spot between comfort and craft.

Also love the vibe at Market Halls—super chill but energetic, and the Black Bear team keep things moving even when it’s busy.

If you’re in Canary Wharf and craving a burger that hits all the right notes, this is it....

First time trying Black Bear. I've heard a lot of good things saying it's one of the best burgers in the city, so I was excited. I ordered the double miso bacon with a small fries. The wait wasn't long, which was great, but they got my order wrong (and gave me a single burger instead). Not a huge issue... but when I took my food back, it seemed they were getting multiple orders wrong. The kiosk was piling up with people waiting. So not the best experience. Overall the burger was ok, but nothing to write home about. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a smash burger, it didn't have the texture of one of so. The chips were good, but the price for small felt pretty steep at £3.90.

This is hands down the best burger I’ve ever had. Literally 10/10 no complaints at all. The burger was full of flavour soooo juicy, I absolutely loved the onion jam it addded such a nice sweetness to the salty bacon. I got the Black Bear Burger and my boyfriend got the February special truffle burger with double patties. The flavour was 10/10 like you just have to try it. For a price of £10 that was deffooo worth it. Customer service was 10/10 too, the food came quickly. I’ll be coming here more often and telling people about it because honestly it’s too delicious. Fries were lovely too, nice and crispy!

We had these burgers for lunch in Market Hall Canary Wharf - a miso one and a blue cheese one. Service is fast, staff is polite. The meat is moist and juicy, made medium rare which is optimal, and the buns are soft and delicious. The blue cheese is a tad salty for our liking, but delicious nevertheless. Would have wanted some garnish like picked veg within, but no issues without. The burger is for a reasonable price of £10, however if with fries and dip and drinks it can add up very fast - then it is a bit steep. Would recommend though!
