Horrible atmosphere from the moment we ordered. When asked if we were eating in or taking away, we were eating in, however, we asked for it in a takeaway bowl incase we needed to dash, for whatever reason this was immediately an issue; Denisa sighing as she turned to put the sit in bowl back. As we got to the counter the young chap asked if we had a loyalty card, we said Yes, so proceeded an attempt to scan, then he said ‘so you have a loyalty card?’ Replying yes we do, he said ‘I’d already asked you, cancel that (the card transaction)’, at this point we made him aware he was indeed told we had a loyalty card, what an issue this must have been for him (despite us replying in the first instance). He directed us to pick up cutlery behind us, as we turned to get cutlery it was apparent there were no forks, we lifted the knife and waited our turn until the customer at the till had finished, Denisa asked what we needed, replying and asking for a fork she replied they are behind you, I said ‘they’ve ran out’, with an attitude she proceeds to go over and check through the knife’s for a fork, clearly not wanting to be wrong in her adamancy.. what an attitude. Denisa hands us a stainless steel fork from the drawer beneath but feels the need to then remark with attitude that there are forks at the booth at the door as well. In fairness the young lad came round to check how the food was and Denisa lifted the tray asking if the food was okay. This doesn’t suffice when the atmosphere and service were just awful. The rice had clearly sat too long and the food wasn’t fantastic (it really varies between outlets). Hospitality has a difficult time with those who either don’t want to work or have no people skills, I feel for Tortilla and other establishments as this has become increasingly common. I’d not return...
Read moreDodge the bullet 🙄 Today 21/02 at 8:15pm I planed to eat at this tortilla, on arrival I noticed few dirty tables and a delivery driver waiting. One of the members of staff wearing glasses, blond hair, advised me they had no more rice, which is not a deal breaker, anyway they apologised to the driver for the wait as apparently had been very busy. That's all OK. Waiting to be served I saw how one of the meals for the delivery, was being prepared. A member of staff dark long hair, blue top, grabbed by had a bit of something from the bowl already prepared. With bare hands. Ewww and threw away that bit . When my turn arrived. I said I don't think I will order anything after what I saw, They said to me that she washes her hands and it was a bit from the outter container. How they know if he didn't see it? . OK then why so many utensils to prepare food?. They started to reopen the prepared meal Or pretending, don't know as I left. Therefore I have no proof of purchase. Just check your cctv. In case the review is answered by any of the mentioned above . Well not cool to do that, specially I front of customers waiting to be served. Be carefull. Or...
Read moreThe experience at Tortilla was not good unfortunately. I have placed an order online in the morning to collect my food during lunch. Transaction was made on my credit card and order was placed successfully. I received an email confirmation. The staff (a lady) couldn’t find my order when i was at the store even though i showed my order confirmation. I asked her if there’s anything could be done as I had already paid and was in a rush to go back for a meeting. She asked me nothing could be done, and i had to cancel the order myself to get my money back. I checked my order and there was no such option of cancelling my order. I told her and she ignored me. I left Tortilla with no food. I tried to contact the ordering platform -OrderPay to get my money back but they shooed me away by saying it’s tortilla i should get in touch with. I have sent a form to tortilla and still waiting for their reply. Don’t recommend the online ordering service when you’re in a rush. Very disappointed by how there was no protocol on how to handle system glitch that everyone in the communication chain just try to pass this incident to another...
