Terrible experience. Arrived at 8pm as I had a Table Booking, as I arrived there was no one to ask about my table. I had to ask the bar man who had to look and flag down the host, after I gave my name he said we had to wait 5 minutes for our table. After 5 minutes I had to flag him down again and ask for an update on where he said I had to wait another 5 minutes.
When we finally was taken to our table, we were taken right to the far end in a corner right next to the speaker which was playing extremely loud, I asked if we can be moved due to the fact I couldn't even speak to my friends due to the speaker, other than shouting. The host said he will see as it was very busy which was not true as there was loads of tables vacant.
We then had to wait 10 minutes to be served by the waitress which then took 15 minutes to receive our order of 4 cocktails. I then when to the bar with my friends as I did not want to wait so long. In-front of me was a couple, where I saw the bar man give the guy a free shot as it was his birthday, once it was our turn I said asked if my friend can have a free birthday shot as his birthday was on that day, he declined and said they do not do that.
When we went back to our table, the waitress came up to us and said we had to pay for our drinks immediately,I explained we were on a tab as I pre-booked and had to pay £25 deposit which was going to be subtracted from the final bill. She then proceeded to bring the bill, where I told her we were not leaving yet and was treated unfairly. She was treating us as we was going to run away. After explaining once again how I paid a deposit she separated my bill from my friends. She brought the card reader and had the cheek to add Service charge even-though the service was terrible plus extremely slow. One of my friends asked to remove the service charge, where she got upset and told her manager to come on where he resolved the problem. I ordered drinks again and took another 20 minutes for 1 cocktail and a shot.
We had another bar booking for 10pm, but we left way earlier due to the terrible service, we was all miserable. We saw people coming in and being seated at better located tables and we were never moved or acknowledged from my request on a better table due to speaker right on our ears. Would not come back to this...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting The Cocktail Club on Great Portland Street, and I must say it was a delightful experience. They offer a fantastic deal of "Grab 2 for £12" on their trademark cocktails during happy hour, available seven days a week.
Ambience: The atmosphere at The Cocktail Club was inviting and vibrant. The venue had a modern yet cosy decor, with comfortable seating arrangements that allowed for both intimate conversations and larger group gatherings. The lighting and music added to the overall ambience, creating a pleasant and relaxed setting.
Cocktails: The highlight of my visit was definitely the cocktails. With the Grab 2 for £12 offer, I had the opportunity to sample a variety of their trademark cocktails at an affordable price. The mixologists were skilled and passionate about their craft, creating beautifully presented drinks that were both visually appealing and delicious. The menu offered a wide range of options, catering to different tastes and preferences. Whether you enjoy fruity, refreshing concoctions, or more complex, spirit-forward blends, The Cocktail Club had something for everyone.
Service: The staff at The Cocktail Club were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. They were more than happy to recommend drinks based on my preferences and answer any questions I had about the menu. The service was prompt, and the bartenders showed great skill in their craft, ensuring that each cocktail was prepared to perfection. Overall, the staff contributed to the welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere of the venue.
Value for Money: The pricing at The Cocktail Club was reasonable, especially considering the quality of the drinks. The Grab 2 for £12 offer during happy hour allowed me to try different cocktails without breaking the bank. Furthermore, the daily deals featuring £6 drink specials all night long provided even more opportunities to enjoy their offerings at affordable prices.
One negative, however, watch out for those wobbly tables. we lost a cocktail, but they replaced it and were very apologetic

Read moreTERRIBLE SERVICE! We went to the Oxford Circus London Cocktail Club last night, had a table booked for 7.30pm. However it took at least 45 minutes for anyone to pay any attention to us, and trying to get the attention of any of the floor staff was basically impossible. After we finally ordered drinks, after they took quite a while to arrive, two of them were completely wrong, most annoyingly a simple Coca Cola some how turned into a Long Island Ice Tea? A waitress came back shortly after to check what we had actually ordered, with completely the wrong tab, with non of the drinks being correct. We eventually managed to get them replaced, but with very little apology. We decided we were only staying for one drink, as for what we got they were over priced, however when we got our bill it was completely wrong it was the same incorrect bill we had been brought earlier on in the night. Which then took even longer to rectify. All in all it took just over two hours for us to have just ONE cocktail. Terrible service aside, there was a COMPLETE LACK of compliance with any sort of Covid Rules, non of the bar staff were wearing masks, we weren't asked to scan track and trace on the way in, and there was very little in the way of sanitisation either at the door or at tables. I am writing this review not only as someone who worked in the bar industry pre covid, but has worked in restaurants since the lifting of restrictions and knows how difficult things can be. I have also frequented the London Cocktail Club before and therefore was expecting to have a great night. There was a complete lack of any organisation, care for customers and I am genuinely shocked by how wrong they've got it. It's pretty safe to say I will not...
