A tiny small restaurant. Authentic Korean street food, taste ok but not good. Reasonable price in this location but the portion is small.
Agreed with other reviews, dine in but use disposable bowl and cutlery, not nice. It’s because Korean food supposed to use traditional bowl to keep the food warm. No water (tap water) provided.
I wonder why other reviews said good service?? What’s the service come from? When I arrived the restaurant, no greeting and just told me to place order from the machine. For me, it’s totally Self-service, you need to order from the machine, get receipt with a number, to find a table and wait the counter staff to call the number, then you go to the counter and get your food and take the cutlery on your own. When I get the food, the young guy just place the tray with my food , say nothing! The basic polite word ‘ thank you’ - NO. And he turn back keep chatting with other staff.
The menu on the wall as same as in the machine, means there’s no ingredients of each dish listed. If you’re vegetarian or food allergy, please pay attention. For example: soup with rice have pork.
There’s many choice in around Victoria Station, I will try another...
Read moreCame here for a quick lunch from work as I was craving KFC and I got my craving fixed very nicely.
The restaurant is run by Koreans so as soon as I stepped in and spoke Korean with them I instantly got greeted back in Korean with a smile from the staff. I went with a small sweet chilli KFC and the portion was quite big although I wouldn't say it's value for money as it's quite pricey compared to Bunsik near Charing Cross station. The batter was not too thick with big chunks of chicken meat, tender and juicy. Sauce was a little dense on its own but the refreshing salad did balance it out. Just before I left the restaurant a staff member recommended me to try it with rice next time which would make a lot of sense with the sauce.
Service was fantastic, polite and friendly staff who made me feel welcome. Would love to come back soon and try the cupbap and bibimbap next time. A really nice quick lunch spot close enough to work in...
Read moreCame on a weekend twice in unsociable hours (9pm and 2pm) and only once was I able to sit in (took takeaway on the other occasion). The place also serves all in plastic containers and seating is tiny with different parties almost touching. Though if you can bear with those, you'll be in for a treat. This might be the best Korean restaurant I visited and I've tried 15+ of them in London so far.
The fried chicken is exquisite, really nicely crispy and the sauce is deliciously rich. I tried garlic and sweet chilli and both were impressive. Then bibimbap and spicy pork and again standout. Looking forward to trying corndogs though they looked really proper on neighbouring tables.
Do visit, hopefully they can move to a bigger venue if the demand doesn't stop. Or if you live nearby, get the takeaway. I'll be visiting...
