This restaurant is off the beaten tourist path in London near an alley of food stands. It's a good sized restaurant with plenty of seating and natural light. The decor is nice. It doesn't seem to have strong air conditioning. We walked in on an 80F day and it was pretty hot in the restaurant. Luckily the AC kicked on and it cooled down a little.
The server came over right away and answered our questions and took our order.
We ordered the chicken wrap with extra halloumi, the Mediterranean breakfast, a Turkish coffee and a berry smoothie. The chicken wrap was hot, fresh and so tasty. My husband raved constantly about how delicious his breakfast was, and he absolutely loved his coffee. He likes it dark and really thick, to the point where there's a pudding-textured sludge of coffee at the bottom of the cup. My smoothie was delicious and obviously made from fresh fruit as there were plenty of blackberry seeds.
We really enjoyed our breakfast here! It was the perfect start to the day. If we're ever back in London, we'll be sure to...
ย ย ย Read moreMy friends and I visited this cafe for an event and unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. The owner of the cafe was incredibly rude and treated the personnel poorly, even in front of customers. This created an awkward and uncomfortable atmosphere.
Also, the cafe was unable to handle the crowd efficiently. The staff seemed overwhelmed and could not manage the customer relationship, resulting in long wait times and confusion.
But the worst part of our visit was the guy at the bar. I asked for mineral water but he poured me sparkling water into a glass and charged me as if it was a mineral water bottle. It was a blatant case of deception and left me feeling cheated and taken advantage of. He simply should have told me they run out of the mineral water and asked me whether I want sparkling water or not.
Overall, I would strongly advise against visiting this cafe. The poor service, rude owner, and dishonest staff make it an unpleasant and untrustworthy place to...
ย ย ย Read moreThis is such a lovely cafe with teas/coffees, wine, and a great menu of Turkish food and some English staples like an English breakfast. The ambience is so coY and a great combination of contemporary and rustic.
The staff (who I think were the owners) were incredibly friendly and warm and hospitable.
Finally the food was so good! I had the lentil soup, which came with big delicious pieces of Turkish pita, and wish I could go back for more. The soup...
