Delicious food and drinks. The service was relatively fast. My favourite dish was the Pan-fried Halibut in the rich shellfish sauce. Not only was it presented beautifully, but the taste and texture also matched my expectations. The hispi cabbage and the rich broth-like sauce complemented well with the halibut which was cooked to a perfect tenderness. The 12-hr Braised Beef tasted good, though it was slightly overcooked, making the meat a little drier/chewier to my liking. It's rather like a Sunday roast too! The traditional Beer Battered Fish and Chips in the pub did not let me down. This piece of cod was meaty and succulent with a nice crispy batter crust. Oh, and the lovely chunky chips - fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I guess the most mediocre dish was the Mussels, Cockles and Clams. First of all, the shellfish were not cleaned properly, there were still traces of sand and beard in the mussels. Not great. The taste was fairly decent though the shellfish lacks flavour on its own (without the sauce). The upside is that it was served with chips so we didn't have to order an extra side. Their chips were great! Overall, we were glad that we got a table relatively quickly considering we didn't make a reservation. The service was friendly and quick, but the only hiccup was that the waiter got our bill mixed up with another table. A much bigger table that's not even close to us...and when I pointed out his mistake, he was a little defensive at first, saying 'No, it's not wrong'. However, he quickly apologised when he realised he was actually wrong. Because of this and the average shellfish dish, I had to knock a star off.

In April, we had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful Sunday Roast at the renowned Thomas Cubitt restaurant in London. From the moment we stepped through the doors, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the stage for a delightful dining experience. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the exquisite Duck Liver Parfait With Five Spice Onion Jam And Duck Fat Brioche. The parfait was silky smooth, with a rich, decadent flavor that was perfectly balanced by the tangy Five Spice Onion Jam. The accompaniment of the buttery, flavorful duck fat brioche was a masterstroke, creating a harmonious interplay of textures and tastes. Another standout dish was the roast half spring chicken. Cooked to perfection, the chicken was juicy and tender, with a crisp, golden skin that added a delightful crunch. The roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables served alongside the chicken were equally impressive, showcasing the kitchen's skill in delivering a classic Sunday Roast. In addition to the delectable food, the service at Thomas Cubitt was exceptional. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was truly memorable. To top it off, the Spicy Bloody Mary we enjoyed was simply superb. The perfect balance of savory and spicy, it was the ideal accompaniment to our Sunday Roast. Overall, our visit to Thomas Cubitt was a true delight. The combination of exceptional food, impeccable service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere created a dining experience that we would highly recommend to anyone seeking a sublime Sunday Roast in London.

Extremely rude little blond lady that served us. Very salty tone about her

Didn't check if me or my son needed anything after our food had arrived

Not offered a drinks menu

Non of the staff seem to be able to smile

After being ignored for dessert menu we decided to just pay and go

They don't take cash! I only had cash and 2k in 50 notes at that

She said "we'll we don't take cash", I said "you should have let me know", she stated "it was on the menu" but we did not have a menu as we ordered the fish and chips immediately before sitting

I said, well your going to have to take cash this time 😊

Her reply, "I don't have to take anything"

When I said "you could have told me" her reply was, "I dont have to tell you anything"

Disgusting attitude tbf

If I hadn't already handed over the £60 (for 2 fish and chips meals😳😳 outrageous price) I would have just walked out because I don't take kindly to disrespect

I would NEVER go back here EVER

Food was mediocre, nothing to write home about, it did hit the spot

Had already mentioned to my son regarding the lack of service and then to have that at the end.. Terrible

Absolute let down tbh

Shame because I would have happily ate there whenever I'm in the area and guided people to it but no way would that happen now

I literally never write reviews but I was left wanting to throw a bucket of water over her

GET HER OUT BECAUSE YOU CAN TELL HER POOR OUTLOOK ON LIFE IS ALSO AFFECTING AND SPREADING TO THE OTHER STAFF MEMBERS

You feel like your inconveniencing them

I own and run businesses, never could I have someone like that at the front of house

I'll be honest, that's one sad, horrible little...
