First off believe me when I say if I could give 0 stars I would. Today me and my friend went for the weekend brunch - from the minute we got there the table was a complete mess with stains and crumbs all over it and not once did any staff member come to clean it and continued to serve us on a visibly dirty table. We then come to order our food and I asked if I could have my eggs well done as this is how I prefer them. The waitress then responded with âerr noâ to which I questioned why this was. She said she has asked before and the chief says no. I then ordered something else then less than a minute later I changed my mind and asked to cancel that and order something else. They preceded to not cancel the previous order and brought it over to the table, to which I told the waitress I had cancelled that order , she seemed visibly annoyed at this and then went back and later brought our order out, my friends food was cold by this point. We was sitting outside then 3 wasps come and was flying round our food and landing on it. We then took the food the wasps werenât on and went inside to see if we could sit inside. Of course you cannot control wasps and thatâs not anyoneâs fault however when we asked to sit inside the woman said we cannot as there was no more seating again fine itâs not something you can control. She said she could wrap up our food and take it to go or we could go sit with the wasps, which my friend said thatâs okay she doesnât need to wrap it up as itâs half a wrap and she could just grab it and that we would just like to pay and leave. The lady then went away suddenly and got someone else to serve us, when the new waitress came she came storming over and first thing she did was shout â ladies I cannot have you eating here at the tillâ which was really embarrassing and people had turned to look, but we had been waiting at the till to pay and the previous lady didnât take the plate off of us and just left us there standing. I told the waitress we were there to pay and tried to explain we didnât want the food but it was like they didnât even give us a chance to explain. Looking back now we should have left when they started to serve us on a dirty table. We was in there for no more than 45 minutes and had 3 different waitresses being rude to us. This is by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had! We spent ÂŁ65 and only ate half a wrap each. The food I did eat I would never have again! I would...
Read moreI recently visited Morena Belgravia, tucked away in Victoria, and it turned out to be one of the most delightful cafĂ© experiences Iâve had in London. From the moment I stepped in, the place radiated a modern yet cozy vibe, with warm lighting, chic interiors, and a welcoming atmosphere. It felt like the kind of cafĂ© where you could enjoy a casual brunch with friends, have a solo coffee break, or even sit down with a laptop and work for a while.
For food, I ordered the avocado toast and the chicken burrito, and paired them with their strawberry matcha. The avocado toast was simple yet beautifully executed â fresh, creamy avocado spread generously over perfectly toasted sourdough, topped with a light garnish that gave it a subtle but refreshing flavor kick. Itâs the kind of dish that can often feel basic, but here it really stood out in its balance and quality.
The chicken burrito was hearty and satisfying. It had the right mix of flavors â the chicken was tender and well-seasoned, the fillings balanced without being overwhelming, and the wrap itself was soft and easy to cut into. Itâs filling enough to count as a proper meal, but not so heavy that you feel sluggish afterwards, which is a nice balance for a brunch cafĂ©.
The strawberry matcha was a standout. Itâs not something I usually go for, but I was glad I tried it here. The combination of earthy matcha with the sweetness of strawberry gave it a unique, refreshing twist. It felt indulgent without being overly sugary, and the presentation was lovely â colorful, layered, and Instagram-worthy.
Service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive, which I really appreciated. The staff seemed genuinely happy to recommend items and ensure guests were comfortable. Even though it was a busy hour when I visited, the food came out in good time and felt freshly prepared.
Prices are on the slightly premium side, but for the quality of food, drinks, and overall ambiance, I found it worth it. Youâre not just paying for a quick bite â youâre paying for an experience, and Morena delivers on that front.
Overall, Morena Belgravia is a spot Iâd happily recommend to anyone in the Victoria area looking for a brunch or cafĂ© experience that feels both stylish and satisfying. Iâll definitely be coming back to try more...
Read moreVisited Morena recently to have brunch. The restaurant was very quiet so there was plenty of choice of tables available and the setting in Eccleston Yards was lovely as it was a beautiful sunny day. After ordering I was informed the restaurant did not have any high chairs-something which may be worth informing customers who come to the restaurant with a pram and baby before they order. I noticed the restaurant next door to Morena had high chairs so I asked the manager of the neighbouring restaurant if it would be ok to borrow one as we had already ordered at Morena. The manager next door was very kind and lent us a high chair when I explained the predicament. I was quite surprised but assumed that due to the proximity of the restaurants this must be to do with their favourable relationship. I returned with the high chair and put my baby into it. The Morena manager came over and told me that the security guard for Eccleston Yards had an issue with this and he would âtell her offâ for allowing this. I informed her that I had spoken to the other manager and gained permission to borrow the high chair as I thought she was under the impression I had taken it without asking. She apologised and said that Morena was getting high chairs next month-something which made the whole situation even more bizarre. We had to cancel our order and leave as my baby needed to eat. To clarify the restaurants position on dining with a baby I emailed their contact email. They responded promptly saying that they couldnât have high chairs due to space issues. They added that they cannot have baby changing facilities due to having a dry stone wall in their disabled toilet. They also said that they had no intention of getting high chairs and would inform their manager of this. They informed me (with an attachment as proof) that they include their lack of high chairs and baby changing facilities on their reservation email-I was a walk in customer so didnât have a...
