Fantastic Lunch Spot in Soho!
I was showing Tongue and Brisket a few months ago in Soho, and it has quickly become one of my go-to lunch spots when I'm in the office. The quality of food and service is exceptional, and I am always left satisfied after each visit.
First and foremost, the meat at Tongue and Brisket is always beautifully cooked. Whether it's the succulent beef or any other option, they consistently deliver outstanding flavors. The beef, in particular, is absolutely amazing - tender, juicy, and bursting with deliciousness.
One sandwich that has stolen my heart is the Reuben. It has quickly become my personal favorite. The combination of flavors and the way it is prepared is simply mouthwatering. But that's not all - their sandwiches, bagels, and rye bread are all top-notch, generously packed with all the good stuff you could ask for.
Another aspect that I appreciate is the reasonable pricing for a lunch spot in such a central location. Tongue and Brisket offers great value for money without compromising on quality. You can enjoy a satisfying meal without breaking the bank.
The staff at Tongue and Brisket truly make the dining experience special. They are always welcoming with their super smiley faces and ever-helpful attitude. Their warm and friendly service adds to the overall charm of the place.
If you're looking for a place to sit and enjoy your meal, Tongue and Brisket has a pleasant seating area at the back. It provides a nice space for relaxation, and even during busy times, I have usually found a spot for two.
In summary, Tongue and Brisket in Soho is a fantastic lunch spot that ticks all the right boxes. From the beautifully cooked meat to the amazing Reuben sandwich, their menu offers a delightful variety. With reasonable prices, wonderful staff, and a cozy seating area, this place is a must-visit for any food lover. I highly recommend...
Read moreBest tongue and salt beef sandwiches in all of London! And I’ve tried many and done the legwork.
Came in for an early dinner and met the one of the owners John who was carving and making the sandwiches. Super friendly and even told us how they made the brisket!
Turns out this is a family-run business and it spans 3 generations. Love it when you get a family-run joint where it’s obvious everything is made with quality ingredients and done with love.
He let us divide one of the sandwiches between the salt beef and the tongue so we can try both (since this was a second dinner). We also got the side of potato salad and the coleslaw. The coleslaw was tangy and crunchy and incredible back to the richness of the beef.
The mustard and pickles are optional but do come standard unless you request yours without.
All this for a very fair price.
The cabbie that picked us up from the restaurant also raved about this being one of his favorite places so seems like a...

Let's start with the staff/owners of the place. What a gentleman. Polite and welcoming. I asked for salt beef on rye and noticed a piece of ox tongue. Asked if I could try it; of course could. Also was advised that the gentleman himself liked mixing the two meats. As I ate the piece of tongue I was served I knew exactly why. I also asked myself why I hadn't tried ox tongue before. It was so succulent. Flavoursome and juicy. I was tempted to get a tongue only sandwich however ordered the salt beef and tongue mix just in case I missed out in the salt beef. I made the right decision. The salt beef echoed the qualities of the ox tongue I'd tried. I wasted little time in devouring the sandwich and was left wanting more. Not because the sandwich wasn't big enough but rather my greed to have more. More of the ever so satisfying succulent meat. I think I've found my favourite sandwich shop in London. Mmmmmm maybe for...
