Our dining experience was overall pleasant with a few areas for improvement. The table was already set upon our arrival, and table water was promptly served, effectively quenching our thirst. The waiting staff were courteous and welcoming throughout.
I personally ordered the Butter Chicken, accompanied by Egg Fried Rice and Garlic Naan. Our group of seven placed our orders at 20:09. The meals were served between 20:36 and 20:46, which translates to a wait time of approximately 27 to 37 minutes. While this was reasonable, the efficiency of food delivery could be improved. The absence of trolleys meant servers had to make multiple trips to and from the kitchen, which slightly impacted the service flow given the volume of food for a large party. Additionally, one party memberâs Chicken Tikka Masala arrived approximately five minutes before her portion of fried rice, resulting in a delayed start to her meal and leaving her to watch others eat while she waited. This could be improved by training staff to carry more than two plates at a time, which would reduce the number of trips required and streamline service. Furthermore, assigning more than one staff member to assist with delivering multiple plates would increase efficiency, particularly during busy periods. Investing in training focused on coordinated service and multitasking could significantly enhance the overall dining experience.
All members of our group were satisfied with their meals, with no complaints reported. Notable dishes ordered included King Prawn Madras, Chicken Balti, and Chicken Bhuna. Some members were unable to finish their meals and requested takeaway boxes, which were provided without issue.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was enhanced by calming background music and the soothing scent of incense, contributing to a relaxing environment.
In summary, this was a positive dining experience marked by quality food and pleasant service. With minor improvements in logistical efficiency, the overall experience could be further elevated. It is also worth noting that After Eights and hot towels were not provided at the end of the meal, which are often appreciated as a thoughtful touch in similar dining establishments. Including these small gestures could enhance the overall...
Read more8th March 2025. The new owners of the restaurant (previously the Pahuna) welcomed my wife and I graciously. The atmosphere and decor of the place is perfect, the toilets are clean, the seating is roomyâwe didn't feel at all crammed in. The food is to die for: I had goat curry on the bone served medium spice and just right for me. My wife had, er, something else, the name of which escapes me, which consisted of several dishes at once and I had to help her get through it because there was so much. All very tasty and a pleasant start to our evening. I heartily recommend the Kathmandu Nepalese Restaurant (especially the Nepalese dishesâthat's what we had). Give it a go, you won't be...
Read moreMy brother and I went to this restaurant for a sit in meal last night. The service from the waitress was attentive, and timely when asking if we would like drinks, and to order our food. The food was lovely, we had popadums to start, and the pickle tray was great. For main courses, I had the Butter Chicken with Special Rice and a Peshwari Naan Bread, my brother had the Goat Curry which came with rice, and a Keema Naan Bread. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food, but the waitress and another member of staff checked with us during the meal to make sure that everything was ok with our meals. Definitely a thumbs up from us, and we will certainly be back. Thankyou for a lovely...
