Picture this you get there at 7:30pm but aren't greeted nor given water till about an hour later. You witness the owner apologizing and doing more for those before you as in giving extra drinks & food on their orders. Now you see the people before you receive a WHOLE crab platter brought out from the owner once again. Now before our orders get started on she finally comes to your table only to ask you if they can leave out the potatoes we ordered because "it would be an extra 15 mins and she didn't want to peel potatoes from scratch". After waiting about 3 hrs for our food she really thought 15 mins would make it any different.. i'm flipping hungry whatever. We get our food at 9:20 (they close at 9). For market price crab you may think you get the whole thing (but all you get is 3 legs,8 shrimp & 3 slices of sausage. Im convinced she spared legs from the order before mine tbh). I asked for the check ready to just pay, eat fast and leave. Although she excluded the potatoes she didn't feel the need to take them off the check & when asked for a new check she looked at us funny. Overall you won't get good service unless you're in a crowd of people or cis-white men. Food is 2/10 people love to drench it in garlic and call it "cajun". Also they have like one stove to cook from so make sure you have the entire day off to be here. Overpriced food not worth it. :)

I stumbled in here upon a friend's recommendation. It absolutely lived up to the reputation. I only had two available meal slots for my time in Anchorage and I spent both at Cajun Corner. :) Shannon and Jared were both SO friendly and did such an amazing job caring for me despite a steady stream of customers. I also loved both the patio seating and the indoor space. I was struck by how clean the restaurant is - particularly impressive given what they serve!! What the menu doesn't tell you is that they sell fresh cakes here! They live on the countertop under gorgeous glass bells and are available until they sell out. Given that I was here at 3 pm and 8 pm, I can definitely assure you they sell _out_! It gets busy in the evenings but service stays impeccably kind. I chose two separate seafood boils: corn/andouille for my afternoon snack, and king crab + potatoes and corn for my dinner. Both were tasty, extremely generous portions, and well worth the price. I also had an IPA on tap, which came in a perfectly frozen mug. Keep in mind that seafood boils take time to cook, so be prepared for a bit of a wait (it's a feature, not a bug!). Highly recommend this spot!

Cajun Corner is a hidden gem in downtown Anchorage, and I’m thrilled to have discovered it! As someone who has run a restaurant before, I know how challenging it can be to deliver quality and quantity, but this family-owned spot has nailed it. We tried the red beans and rice, and let me tell you, they were simply delicious—rich, flavorful, and the perfect comfort food. The fried shrimp was another standout: crisp, perfectly seasoned, and served in such generous portions that they’re easily shareable. You definitely won’t leave here hungry! And, oh, the homemade lemon cake! It was the perfect way to finish our meal—light, tangy, and just sweet enough to leave us wanting more. This place exudes warmth and heart, and you can taste the love they put into every dish. If you’re in the mood for a hearty, authentic Cajun meal that won’t disappoint, make your way to Cajun Corner. Let’s support this new family business and help it flourish!

Staff was very nice and friendly. The restaurant is very clean and well decorated for the theme. We ordered the kids chicken tenders and the Cajun Corner Basket that cost $150. The chicken tenders were terrible store bought tenders that my kids did not like with a side fruit of canned tangerines soaked in sugar syrup. The Cajun Corner Basket tasted good at first then you realize that the dish is saturated in sodium. The basket took the cooks about 45 minutes after our order. We were also the only guest eating there. So you can guess that our kids got impatient by the time we got the food. We felt ripped off at $150 for the basket. Hand full of crawfish, 5 pieces of tiger shrimp, one small leg of king crab cut into 3 pieces, and a few pieces of sausage, 3 pieces of corn. We left hungry between 3 people. I don’t want to leave a bad review for a small business owner because i do support small businesses but please take this review as a...
