Urban Greens Subs & Salads — Restaurant in Alaska

The worse environment I have had the dis'pleasure of experiencing the employees are talked down to when I entered a few weeks ago a tall person whom I assume is either the manager or the owner?

Talking down to employees belittling them and making them feel like they are just slaves. I have no idea why they don't just quit and I can see now why the quality of their food and all has dropped down.

I have made a report on this and no idea what will be done but

One thing for sure I know a few months ago when I applied to work there and was interviewed I was insulted (seems to be a typical trend in alaska) and I ended up just walking out laughing cause the guy expected me to triple up (Work three different positions for way less money than what fast food joints would offer) I refused and requested to be paid based off my long history and experience in the kitchen and I was insulted cause of it.

And I have made a comment on their facebook page along with others who have had bad experiences. Anyone who is fooled into buying food here will quickly learn after getting food poisoning or worse will not ever want to return. This place has gone downhill. You don't believe me? look at their facebook page if the guy has not deleted the comments.

Went and literally saw the owner abusing staff and the customers around me as he haphazardly fussed about, getting in the employees’ ways. He blatantly slammed ingredients down onto puddles of bleach, soaked surfaces in bleach, including the juicer, then proceeded to sell said juice to the poor unsuspecting public, at first I wasn’t sure what the substance was, as there was the Clorox bottle hanging out in the open, but as my daughter and I ate our food we couldn’t help but notice the smell, along with our drenched bread. Nevertheless, he clearly does not care about cross-contamination or the well-being of others regardless of what is on the terribly stained rags he uses, as well as his mistreatment of the ones he needs most at the end of the day: the staff and clientele; without those, he wouldn’t have the luxury of feeling it is okay to behave such a way.

Best Salad in Alaska! My kids and I throughly enjoyed our lunch! My chicken Caesar salad was the best I ever had. Croutons tasted like they were made there, not just stale dumped out of bag store croutons. Urban Greens really raised the bar on my expectations of salads. I went to the Moose's tooth one day and had a salad and it was "ehh... nothing to write home about". I really appreciated the care put into making the lettuce wraps for the kids. I am a budget and health conscious mom and Jeremy understood that. He made it easy for me. I was impressed with how fresh everything was and even though it was a hip place with a lot of people grabbing lunch for work, the kids and I felt very welcome and like we were just as important as the next person.
