I’m a gig worker and do food delivery. This was back when restaurants were pickup and delivery only. I had been doing orders for Garcia’s for a while and had very few problems until one day they randomly told me I had to go inside for delivery orders after they had brought it to my car every time before. So I said okay fine and I go inside and there was about 20 people packed inside the lobby with one person at the counter. What’s the point of having curbside pick up if everyone is going to go in and this was when COVID was bad. So I go to look for my order on the delivery table and I pick it up and some giant blonde dude rolled his eyes and rudely told me to put that down and have someone hand it to me. No please or nothing just all attitude. Keep in mind I had never gone in and there was no sign for what drivers should do or anything. He talked to me like he was my mother in front of the whole lobby with everyone looking at me and it was so humiliating. Think about how you would feel if another adult talked to you like that in front of everyone so I said no and walked out with the order. They wanted to make me wait behind the whole lobby of people when my costumers order was sitting on the table getting cold. Get more staff if you want to make everyone wait inside and I wasn’t going to get a bad rating for delivering the food late. They don’t care about delivery drivers even though we’re just trying to work like they are and they choose to make our lives harder. We’re all in the food service least they could do is treat us with respect. Not only am I a delivery driver but I’m also a costumer and that’s how your going to treat me. I understand there are some rude delivery drivers but you don’t see me treating all food service workers the same after one was rude to me. You shouldn’t treat anyone like that regardless of who they are. I will never go back as a driver or costumer. The Garcia’s on homestead and Taylor ranch is family owned, no wait and have treated my family with respect since I was a kid and I will be going...
Read moreWent here for the first time today, my wife ordered the Chicharron/beans/green chili burrito and I ordered the burger.
The first thing we noticed is that the waitresses were not using trays or tray stands. The table next to us had drinks and food dropped off separately and both times the waitress spilled coffee/red chili sauce on the carpet. It was extremely messy and unprofessional, I would definitely recommend that Garcia's invest in some proper trays for their waitresses.
Next we get to our meals, my burger came out fine but my wife was not expecting what came out at all. She wanted traditional chicharrons which are either crunchy or soggy which would have been a nice choice upon ordering but either way would have been fine. It was not fine though because the chicharrons were HARD like a rock.
She was very disappointed and requested to just leave but the other server suggested she try the fajita burrito, my wife decided to give another chance and asked that the cheese and chili be put inside the burrito, out comes the meal after a little longer and it's smothered in chili and cheese!
My wife looked at it and we got up and asked to pay our check and leave. The manager did not approach the table but waited for us to simply leave before coming out. The waitress did remove the drink and the food from the tab and that is at least appreciated.
I am giving 2 stars because the waitress was nice enough but the management seems to be pretty terrible. Another sign that management is a little cheap is that they kept all the old signage from the previous establishment (Village Inn) and removed the...
Read moreMy husband and I brought our two youngest boys out to eat for breakfast here and considering it was a new location we we're expecting it to be outstanding. Unfortunately it wasn't so great. The service was pretty good but the food was horrible my husband got the Andes plate and they didn't have hash browns which is disappointing because that's one of our favorite breakfast foods. My French food I ordered the French toast with sausage and eggs. I got the sausage and eggs for the kids the eggs were pretty cold so my one year old only ate a few bites the sausage was not fully cooked the edges were cooked pretty good but the middle was Roth I mean it was still pink that was disappointing because I had gotten it for my kid. Then they forgot to bring my husband's tortilla and when they brought it out it was scorching hot wrapped in a piece of foil. There was a couple sitting a few tables down and the gentleman ordered the same thing my husband did while we were eating the manager came up to our table and asked us how everything was I was still cutting up food for the kids so we hadn't tasted anything yet so he moved on to the next table and ask them how there's was the guy that ordered the same thing as my husband told him this is disgusting this tastes Bland so the manager took the food to the back just got up paid for their food and left they didn't even touch anything but they still paid for it. We were expecting something a lot better I hope they get a better cook and better service oh yeah play French toast words cooked as well. The coffee also...
