First let me start by saying that this McDonald's fries are always good steak breakfast sandwiches are the bomb and the Cokes are always good and cold. It's not the food I have a problem with at this location, it's the management team. On thanksgiving day we decided we would order breakfast from our favorite location. Online said they were open, the online order went through and people were at the drive through so when they said they were open I just assumed that they were open. When we got to the store we went to the circle k first and got coffee and some excellent chocolate chip cookies from the bakery section. I started to go next door to the McDonald's and the cashier said they weren't open. So I got online and they told e that the refund had to come directly from the store. So first thing Friday morning I went to speak with a manager but again they weren't open, despite there being at least 6 workers there. And then about 11 am people started to go through the drive through so I went to speak with a manager who told me that if they didn't cash it out it would be back on my card in 48-72 hours. I waited the 3 days and went back, this manager explained that Friday was President's day so it would be at least another day. Nothing, so I went back and this manager told me that they needed a copy of my bank statement when I told her I had it in my phone she said " no no no we need a paper copy" and when I took it to the day manager she didn't have a clue what I was talking about. Just said if they didn't get cash out the order the money would be showing up to my account. It's 3 weeks later and I still haven't seen a dime. And yesterday I went in circle k for my coffee and went to McDonald's to use the restroom and the manager told the cashier not to open the door for me. But buzzed the next person in no problem. I don't know if it's because I contacted corporate about my money or something else but they've been pretty rude with me since I keep bothering about my money. I don't know why they don't just give me my money back unless they already cashed out the order and can't do it again. I don't know but it seems easy enough to do that refund. I was a shift manager for 3 years at another fast food place and refunds were easy to do and didn't require a life story and your first born to be done. They required a receipt and an explanation and someone who was smart enough to run a register. That was it but refunds couldn't be processed if the order was already cashed out and the money "wasn't any longer there" to be given back. All it takes is a little honesty and someone who knows how to do their job. All I've got from this location is the run around for 3 straight weeks and it was a rather pricey order, but I guess the company needs that money more than I do. And another location needs my business more. Something is going on that I can't quite put my finger on but it's ok, cuz I can write as many reviews as the day is long and I'll keep contacting corporate as long as they let me. I just wanted my money back and I haven't been rude or anything with these people, but even if I don't get my money back, people will know what kind of business they do here, If I have to do...
Read morePoor Management and resulting staff interactions. Tried to kick us out of the store before posted closing time, by 1/2 hour. At 7:30 PM approached by Sweat-shirted Employee toting a mop, rudely asked us to leave, we noted door signage and Website with conflicting closing times, 8PM and 10PM respectively, not 7:30! Then Night Mgr came out and aggressively demanded our departure (no issues, paid customer, working on Laptop/Phone). Again, we refused - still not done with our meals, not closing time. We left at 7:55 PM, escorted by the same non-uniformed angrily glaring Mop/Person. Then we spoke to the apparent source of the problem: the next day, called the Day Mgr. reported the incident. Pathetic unapologetic and unprofessional response, "I'll talk to them, goodbye." Ironically, while trying to enjoy our too sweet Vanilla Coffee and smallish Fudge Sunday, multiple Homeless folks uninhibitedly bopped-in, took ice, drinks, condiments, etc. without so much as a peep, from McD's? They seem to only harass those paying Customers that are unlikely to toss a rock, I guess? Seemingly, not a safe area, concerned about the 10+ Street folk wondering around and/or belligerent Staff. Btw, no Restroom - caged off. Parking can be competitive, since a Convenience/Gas Store is connected - suggest avoiding all together. Why pay to wade through substance abusers, only to be greeted by unhospitable...
Read moreI see a lot of people giving this place negative reviews claiming the food isn't real. The majority of foods we eat are processed and we still eat them, so thats irrelevant. I just wanted to leave a quick review because I never review fast food places, and I'm not even the biggest fan of McDonalds, but wow this place impresses me every time I come by. I work across the street and I occasionally swing through this drive thru before my shift for breakfast or during lunch. Its amazing how fast and friendly this location is. I've never been to ANY fast food restaurant in albuquerque where you can get from start to finish in a drive thru in under 30 seconds. You order, pull up, hand your card or cash, and by the time you get to the 2nd window they have your drink and food ready. The food is always fresh and hot, never tastes like its been under a heatlamp for hours, and I always get pure honey with my chicken nuggets, most other mcdonalds gives me honey mustard and then get an attitude when I want to exchange the sauces for what I asked for. These guys get it right every time. Great crew, great management. You'd never expect this from a food establishment that was combined with a gas...
