Chick-fil-A is almost always top notch with food and service. The Allen Park location, however, didn't meet my expectations as compared to other locations.
Ordering was pretty standard. It was lunch rush, so multiple workers dealing with the 2 lines to take orders. There were also a couple of workers confirming the order name as the lines merged to make sure the right car got the right order.
All good so far!
Then it was my turn to get my order. I was handed the bag and the shake almost simultaneously. I grabbed the bag and put it in the car, then turned to grab the shake. Unfortunately, the worker was in such a hurry, she handed it to me a bit too harshly which caused my hand to penetrate the cup, the top to come off, and the top part of the shake to go into my car. The worker apologized, but I could tell she didn't know what to do other than hand me a wad of napkins. I told her I would pull up to the drive through space to clean it out, which I did. The worker came over with more napkins and wet wipes and apologized again.
I get that accidents happen, but that was it. I spent the next 15 minutes cleaning the truck with the napkins and the wet wipes. Unfortunately, the shake went into the window crack, so I have shake on my window and within my door. No clue how I'll get that cleaned! It also puddled on my armrest where my window and lock controls are. I cleaned those spaces up as best I could, but the sticky shake traveled quickly. I can only imagine how sticky inside the door is. Oh, and it's 31* right now which made cleaning it up so much more pleasant.
By the time I had it mostly cleaned, my hot food bag was no longer hot. I went in to dump all of the napkins (where are the trash bins???). I had to explain to a couple of workers (managers?) what happened and I asked to have my food re-made so I could eat it hot.
They did so nicely enough - something I know other fast food places would not. But there was no additional apologies, asking what they could do to help, etc.
Had I not asked for my order to be remade, there wouldn't have been anything at all offered for an accident caused by one of their workers.
Oh - then I pulled away from the location and realized there was no straw. I had to go back to get one.
I had been having a decent day... now I have to search for either a detailing company or figure out how to take my door panel off so I can clean inside the door and make sure all the buttons are...
Read moreI visited Chick-fil-A for dinner. I initially went through the drivethru. The line was extremely long. I placed an order for the Grilled Chicken Sandwich Meal with sweet tea to drink. And 2 Chick-fil-A Deluxe Meals with lemonade. 4 different employees asked my name and repeated the order. When I got up to the window, they asked for the name again and repeated the order. It took 16 minutes to get my order. I pulled up, opened my Grilled Chicken Sandwich and took a bite. I immediately tasted pork on my chicken! I took it inside to let them know I received the wrong sandwich. I let them know that I ordered through drivethru. I gave the sandwich to the cashier. He asked for my name and explained that I had to go back to the car and get the receipt to prove I made the purchase. I went and got the receipt and came back. He took the receipt and the sandwich to a manager to ask how to handle it. The manager came over and explained that I had to let them know of any discrepancy within 20 minutes of purchase. I let her know that I just pulled up from drivethru and 5 minutes had not passed from the time I received my order. I took about 10 more minutes for me to get another another sandwich. When the cashier gave me my sandwich, I had to ask for my receipt back. He said he didn't know where it was. I told him to retrace his steps and check the trash because I needed my receipt. He told a manager that he lost it. The manager explained that they couldn't reprint a receipt. Once again I explained that I must have a receipt for work. She eventually gave me a duplicate receipt. I went back to the car to finally eat my grilled CHICKEN sandwich! I bit into the sandwich and immediately tasted pork! I was so frustrated, I just threw the sandwich away and pulled off. HOW CAN CHICK-fil-A NOT GET A CHICKEN...
Read moreToday's Chick-fil-A visit surely was NOT a pleasurable one. On my way to the location, I placed my order in the app for drive-thru pick-up. My order was given to the car in front of me. As I was sitting in the car waiting on my order to be brought out, the car who was previously in front of me came back and asked my name because she believed she had my order, which she in fact did.
I took the food back to the window and told them that they gave my order to another car and the crew made it very clear that they were aware of the mistake by saying that they knew and they were planning to remake my order, but I needed to wait on it (It would've been nice if someone could've notified me of the mistake and gave me a heads up of the additional waiting period). I immediately asked for a refund as I was on my lunch break and was being inconvenienced.
The manager and the team were completely nonchalant about it and acted as if I wronged them. The manager was so unprofessional and condescending with his language and also how he went about correcting their simple mistake that I told him I'd be sure to call corporate and also voice my situation across various social platforms and he told me that he doesn't know nor does he care about how corporate will handle a situation like this.
After debating/going back and fourth with them over my order, the food finally came through the window missing sauces that I originally added in my order as well as straws. To top it all off, there was a piece of blonde hair in my food (I have pictures to prove this as I was in complete shock after all this).
This completely ruined my Chick-fil-A experience. I will be sure to spread this story at every opportunity that I get as well as dispute the charges with my financial...
