This is by far the worst Leo's Coney Island in Allen Park, I have ever been to. We went here around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2023. We were shocked when our food was brought out at how small everything was. My husband ordered a large chili fry and they brought him a saucer size to eat. I asked if the medium Greek salad was big and the waitress said yes. The size they brought me was a small. I had decided at that point that we would not go there ever again. I had received boxes to take my leftovers home and when we went to pay the Manager/Cashier tried to charge me $11.00 more that what are bill stated. I asked why and he said because I ordered a take out to go. We explained to him that was not the case, and his response was just wait we will see. I then asked if he was the manger and he said yes, I then told him that this was the worst Coney Island I have ever been to. He said oh well, then said you need to pay for your carry out and again I said this is not a carry out this is leftovers. He said well somebody is paying for this and I said not me. He then went to get the waitress to figure this out. The waitress explained we did not order a carry out and that was my leftovers. He started screaming at her in front of everyone at the register. I asked him to stop and he told me to pay for what I ordered. I then started to get angry and I had told him I did not order that and to cash me out so I could get out of this hell hole. I also told him to print out my receipt so I would know how much he charged. When leaving he told us to have a great fing day. This behavior is unacceptable and nobody deserves to be treated that way including a customer or staff. I plan on going all the way to corporate to try to do something about this manager before it happens to...
Read moreI was so disappointed in my experience here. I'd been on a diet for several months and decided to reward myself and get a big ol' breakfast here. I ordered hash browns with onions, eggs over medium, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and white toast. When i walked in to pick up my order, the lady was chatting away with what I assume is a regular customer for literally 6 minutes while I just stood there. When they were done, I got my order and it was $4 more than they stated on the phone. At this point I was annoyed, just wanted to leave and enjoy my food. So I drove home, and 1) the toast was burnt to heck - literally black. It made a "thud" on the counter it was so burnt. 2) The hash browns didn't have any onions, yet I was charged for them, and 3) the hash browns were so ridiculously undercooked, it was disgusting. I literally had to put them in my own frying pan to finish cooking them another 15 minutes. 4) The eggs were grossly undercooked, and by the looks of the amount of runny, watery liquid, they were nowhere near fresh. So I tossed them and just made my own. NOT what I wanted, hence why I paid almost $20 for a dang simple breakfast. Lastly, 5) the gravy for the biscuits and gravy was disgusting. I didn't even see any meat in it, just the cream-white gravy with pepper. It was so flour-y tasting, I couldn't eat it.
Look, I am not picky by any means. I don't ask for a ton of specializations, and I give some leeway when it comes to interpretation of "caramelization" and "over medium". But this was just awful, and so, so disappointing. I will never, ever...
Read moreWaited over 7 minutes to place my order, just to listen to the waitress check out a total of 4 people (which is whatever if they’re busy but let me know it’ll be a while), but then I heard her phone vibrate right next to the phone while I was on hold (not muted, mind you)& have a conversation with her coworker about how much she “hates when her dad randomly texts her”. I then even heard her coworker say “Do you have a call on hold?!” She finally then picked up the phone after over 7 minutes!! When I asked “This phone call took over seven minutes for you to answer & you were having conversations with your coworker about someone texting you. So I’m just curious as to how long it will take for me to be able to pick-up a small order?” She says, “it’s up to you!” (Super snarky and sassy too. Feisty one!) I said “excuse me, what?” And she says “it’s up to YOU on whether or not you WANT to place your order” WOWWWW. Can’t believe this woman even passed the interview process. I told her I’ll just take my business to the other one ((((and I tip VERY WELL, your loss))). The Leo’s Telegraph only took a total of 32 seconds to not only answer my call, but place my order, AND have good customer service. Wish I would have gotten her name, but I’m sure you’ll see her angrily texting her dad & chatting with her coworkers about it in the cameras during the time pictured below. Shoutout to the Telegraph Leo’s. I’ll drive further just for the...
