Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Altoona

First time there... not gonna lie, their tv commercials are genius and are what made me want to visit. When I first pulled in to the Altoona JJ's parking lot I parked and was going to go in to order take out, but then realized they had a drive thru so I backed up and got in line. I ordered the #7 regular sized combo (Spicy Italian), and let me tell ya, that was one of the best subs I've ever had!! The bread was awesome, it was packed with the meats, and just the right amount of lettuce! I will definitely be back!! Husband and kids were hungry after working outside all day and didn't want grocery store hoagies. Easily ordered on the app, paid with Google pay, and the food was ready when I got there. Only thing missing were mayo packets I asked for instead of mayo on the sandwiches (I can never remember who wants what). Only other slight inconvenience for the location is it's accessibility. Depending on where you need to go, you only have the option to take a right out of the backside of the parking lot or possibly have to cross two lanes of traffic from the front (it's right at a busy 4 lane...

I started eating Jimmy John's when I lived in Austin, TX. I was really excited when we got one in Altoona...I didn't have to go to State College anymore! The quality doesn't change, it's always great! I'm partial to the Gargantuan, I don't like choosing, I can get it all. I got my daughter hooked on the Vito Little John. The fresh baked rolls are what make it great. Nice and soft with a little chew to them. Do yourself a favor, JJ's will ruin all the other sub places and have you craving...
