The acoustics of the restaurant need work. With very few patrons it is so loud you can’t speak to your table mates. It sounds like an echoing cavern meets a sports bar.
The pizza is ok. You’re at their mercy. They brought us out 3 of the least desirable ones rapid fire and then we sat for at least 20 minutes with empty plates while they served other tables and skipped ours. Then they said “ready for dessert” after letting us sit and stare at each other and when we said no, they brought us room temperature pizza that had obviously been ready but not offered to our table for some reason? We had only had a few slices each and were waiting to try the others that were being offered to the other tables.
The charcuterie, soup, and salad are not an asset to this meal. The cheese is a few slices of something you’d put on a deli sandwich. The meats are ok. The salad is spinach with a “light” dressing aka vinegar? Some marinated carrots and cauliflower. The soup? Chalky and flavorless with a flavor profile that makes no sense for the meal. The dessert pizza? We were offered an obviously picked over tray and declined. It had 1 slice of 1 type and 2 of another. So I guess only one of us could try that one.
This place is all concept and no substance. Staff is inattentive and you can tell they don’t care. After their neglectful service they met a disappointed customer with an attitude. Super disappointed and would not recommend even trying it unless you enjoy disappointment and frustration. I’ve never had such bad service at a restaurant on a...
Read moreHoly cow, this place is amazing.
It's in the hotel, and since it's right next to dland, we had to pay to park. It was expensive, 10 bucks for the first hour... And it just goes up from there.
Walked through the hotel and was greeted by the hostess. It wasn't busy at all, which was good for us. Ordered the ayce pizza deal and was immediately sat. Food came out quickly and they just kept bringing the food by. Our water glasses were never empty, our plates were never empty.. service was friendly and phenomenal.
I don't think I've ever tipped so much before, but this service was truly incredible. Felt like we were royalty.
Since I gorged myself, I needed to walk around some before attempting to get in the car. The hotel grounds were pretty neat, never a reason to stay here for us, but makes me remember how great Sheraton hotels are.
When we were leaving, the parking machine tried to charge me $40, which is $10 over the daily maximum. I contacted support and they just opened the gate. I found out that support is the valet and I went over and talked to him to explain and he didn't even bat an eye, said no charge it was no big deal.
I rarely give 5 stars to anything, and this one earned 6 out of 5. I think this could be my favorite place. We WILL be...
Read moreIf you like tiny pizza slices delivered 1 every 10 minutes or so, along with suspicious food guards who make sure you don't share even a bite -- even though you have your own $36 salmon plate, then Savor is the place to visit!
The location is beautiful, conveniently placed, plenty of space. The food is very good as well. Tasty, flavorful, diverse. Problem: Too many guests must have stolen pizza slices between the 10-min distribution period.
Buffets are usually a terrible idea (cue the over-eating American diabetic). Savor isn't a buffet. It's a mysterious menu you can't determine until you arrive in person. Once there, you have 2 options: Pizza samples "all night" Menu entrée Never the twain shall meet, else, you are monitored all night to ensure you don't take a bite across the table. *note: the rounds are made so infrequent, most digestion happens, causing the diners to orherwise eat more.
Summary: Everyone shares, but shouldn't be gluttonous. Savor needs to analyze it's format. If someone pays for the $25 pizza fest, and orders an entrée, they should be entitled to share a bite or 2. This format can't last. If it does, people have more $ and patience...
