Wow Pho & Steak — Restaurant in Anaheim

We picked this place because there's not a lot of options for viet food after 8pm. We showed up at 8:15 and we're the only ones in the restaurant. Quickly seated, we were starving so we ordered quickly. The dishes came out one by one piping hot.

My kids who are very picky eaters completely devoured their salmon and pho! A little background: my dad used to own a pho restaurant so I can be super picky about my pho. This tasted like home! My oldest who is a pho connoisseur was very happy! My little one loves salmon so we ordered the Salmon Luc Lac for her which is a play off of the Bo Luc Lac (Shaken Beef). The salmon was fried to perfection and the sauce was a perfect balance of sweet and salty. The pickled onions and salad that went along with it balanced out the salmon and it's sauce beautifully.

My husband and I ordered the Bun Cha Ha Noi and the Nui Xao Bo. The Bun Cha tastes like what you would order in Ha Noi, Vietnam. Very authentic and the broth was spot on! The beef in the Nui Xao was cooked to a perfect medium rare.

All in all 4 VERY solid dishes! We got to meet the chef and he shared that they had only been open for a week. Chef Hai is very passionate about his food and some stories about how he created each recipe with us.

The ambiance is very casual. Booths in the main room and a bigger side room with square tables. It's not a fancy place but it was perfect for our quick family dinner.

So just settled, but then had the hunger to eat bowl of Pho. So we looked around and decided to take advantage of the decent hours that wow pho offered. So upon arriving around 9, since it closes at 11pm, they gave us ample time to order and sit down to enjoy our meal. Different individuals dining in and it seems they were enjoying their meal. Seems there was also regulars as the engagement between the owner and customers were very personable. As we ordered we were able to view either TV on either end of the restaurant. This isn't your huge restaurant but a small one with a good size of people that could attend. Enough room for a large family & enough for a single person dining in. When the food came out the broth was good, but could be bolder in taste. What got me was the skinny egg noodle was a delish. It was superb, very aromatic smell with bold taste that doesn't fein anyone from the great aroma it let off.
