Potato Valley Café — Restaurant in Annapolis

I am not one to give a bad review, but was so disappointed that I feel inclined to share my thoughts. I stopped in to try a baked potato as I had been wanting to for a long time. I don't eat meat and was excited to find a place offering vegetarian and vegan options. I decided on the Rustic Vegan baked potato as I wanted lots of healthy veggies (my favorite food group), etc. Two of the main ingredients listed were asparagus and avocado, which would have been yummy if they existed on my potato. I got one skinny inch long piece of asparagus and ZERO avocado with my potato! They had apparently just run out of the orange Caribbean vinaigrette that was supposed to be included, but didn't tell me til AFTER I paid and they gave me my potato with NO dressing. I had to ask for some and settle for honey mustard. The potato itself was tasty and there were other veggies, mainly zucchini, peppers, and lettuce, plus a bit of cauliflower (which was one of the listed veggies). I ordered what I did in hopes of getting a good portion of a hearty, healthy veggie (asparagus), and some avocado; the two missing ingredients on my potato! Staff was not the friendliest other than the original greeting when I first walked in. Sorry, but if you don't have the ingredients listed for a specific item on your menu, TELL THE CUSTOMER! I would've ordered something different or come back another time. Instead, they've lost my business forever. I could've saved my hard earned $12 (rip off considering my experience) and spent that money elsewhere. Friends of mine and I had already discussed trying this place at some point. We are now making other plans. You need to do better Potato...

So somebody said I should check this all potato spot out right. Hmmm potatoes with all kind of toppings got my attention!! Nonetheless…I geared up, headed to Annapolis, & WENT IT!! . Their Chicken Bacon, and Cheddar (with butter, greens, & roasted onions $12.95). STAMP!! A crisp seasoned buttery potato, thick with seasoned chicken, a sharp cheddar, & bacon!! YES!!

Their Beef Chili, Cheddar (with butter, greens, roasted onions, & corn chips $12.95). STAMP!! A mildly spicy meaty chili, melted cheddar, with the burst of that roasted onion!! WINNING!!

Their N.C. Pulled Pork and Cheddar (with greens, roasted onions, mixed greens, & slaw $13.95). STAMP!! The BEST one I had!! The pulled pork reminded me of the pulled pork sandwiches from the Rib Pit on 14th street Uptown back in the day!! EXCELLENT!!

Their Tuna Sandwich (on multigrain, with chips, lettuce, & mayo $8.95). LIKE THAT!! Plentiful, not over saturated with mayo…fulfilling!!

Their Oatmeal Raisin Cookie ($1.85). LIKE THAT!! The perfect sweet fix for all the savory!! . Customer Service: On Point!! . Online Navigation: Easy . Parking: ROUGH . Music: YouTube- . Recommendations: Any Potato!!

I walked in and checked out the menu~ looked pretty great. The older gentleman at the register didn't smile or greet us which i thought was pretty strange. But i asked for a potato with broccoli. In his deadpan voice he said "we don't have broccoli here and pointed to the menu and said look at the menu". So i took a second look and saw the broccoli & cheese potato. So they DO have broccoli. I asked if i could get a broccoli potato with no cheese and he said no. I had to order EXACTLY as the menu stated. Such a bummer. He shrugged his shoulders and literally walked away so i couldn't even order anything else exactly as stated on the menu. Very bizarre behavior. So we left and I'd highly recommend you SKIP this place and enjoy the other places...
