As a frequent traveler I am not one to jump to conclusions or state the obvious when I endure certain experiences. I will simply state my experience and let you decide how it shall be labeled. I can say as a Hilton Honors member, I have never experienced this at any Hilton Hotel.
I entered the establishment and went directly to the bar. I sat towards the far left of the bar. There were 2 other patrons seated at the far right side of the bar. The middle was empty. There were 2 bartenders, one had short blonde hair which she wore half up in a ponytail, and the other had a long black ponytail. They were standing at the center of the bar, talking. They both glanced at me and continued their conversation. It must’ve been riveting, since they decided to move it to the far right end of the bar, by the register.
As patrons began entering and seating themselves at the bar, the bartenders quickly flocked to them, gleefully welcoming them in and quickly taking their orders. I sat there in disbelief. They never came my way. I waited a few minutes, before I noticed a gentleman running back and forth, as he passed me I asked if I can order food here, and he replied yes and asked me to wait a moment. He came back and took my order, wings to go. He left and continued running around the restaurant. The 2 bartenders stayed at the far right end of the bar, tending to the newest arriving patrons and continuing their conversation, without any care that I had been seated there for quite some time.
As I waited for my order, the bartenders never looked my way. Never asked if I needed a drink or anything. It almost seemed intentional. The woman with the long black ponytail began serving food to tables and people seated at the bar. She would stand directly behind me with plates of food and shout “Where does this go”. I began to feel uneasy. I didn’t know if that was part of their normal operations or if it was intentional, but either way it made me uncomfortable. I was worried that maybe food would spill onto me being that she was so close and holding it with one hand and shouting. This happened about 6 times.
As I continued to wait for my order, more patrons entered. This time, they seated themselves right next to me. The bartender with the short blonde hair quickly ran over to greet them and took their order, without as much as a glance near my way. It was like I was invisible. I was taken aback. I was in disbelief. I was shocked. I could not believe that I had been seated there for almost 40 minutes now and this is the first time she came near my direction and still disregarded my presence.
Finally, the gentleman had arrived with my order, about 40 minutes I had been waiting. He apologized and said there was a mixup in the kitchen with my order. I thanked him, paid and went back to my room.
Now that I have stated my experience in great detail, I’d like you to think of why I had this particular experience. What could have been the cause of the snubbing? What could have been the cause of overlooking my presence? Of purposely ignoring me?
I was not dressed inappropriately. I was not intoxicated. I was not disheveled. I was not unkempt. I was...
Read moreI had went out to eat with my significant other around 5pm on a Saturday. We had never been to this place before and figured we would give it a try. The place had very few people. We arive, go inside, wait by the sign that said to wait for seating. After about 8 minutes without acknowledgment, we decided to seat ourselves. We sat down at a table, which was fine aside from it being very wobbly. After another 10 minutes, we finally get a waiter to get us some drinks. By the way the drinks are super expensive. I chose to have a water, I'm not going to fork over a 20 dollar bill for a cocktail at a sport bar. We had placed our food order. The waiter Simon was very friendly. Me and my SO had ordered the breaded chicken sandwich. When we got the sandwiches the chicken on them was about half the size of a normal chicken patty. The chicken was tough and didnt even cover the bun. We had kindly asked the waiter to have them re made because it was definitely not worth 20 dollars for the sandwich which we received. Simon promptly took them back to have them re made. When we received the new sandwiches it wasn't any better. Needless to say we will not be back ever.
Edit: As we got our check we noticed the cooks were eating our food that...
Read moreFood was really good. They were busy when we came in, but not that busy. We were after the dinner rush, arriving around 7 pm. It took probably 30 minutes to be acknowledged about a drink order. Figured since we finally had a waitress paying attention to us, we should place our food order at the same time. Her response was, "I'll probably get yelled at for putting in your food order" What?!
We were told our food order would take an hour, it probably only took 25 minutes, so that was good.
After finishing eating we sat for roughly 45 minutes waiting to get our tab,no waitress in sight. We finally asked a different waitress for our tab, she said yes and then cleared a bunch of tables and never returned.
I finally walked up to the bar to ask for the tab. Our waitress reappeared while I was at the bar, but never stopped by the table where my husband and granddaughter were still sitting. My granddaughter wanted a box for her leftover flatbread pizza, but we never got one, so a half a pizza went to waste.
We ended up sitting in the restaurant irritated with the service for about 2 hours. It was all I could do to leave the tiny tip...
