We went to Appleton for Victoria's on Saturday to celebrate 2 Birthdays. Of course....the abundance of food is over the top. We had an amazing waitress. She was on top of her game and down to earth (regret not getting her name:( BUT to get her credit that is well deserved....if management actually reads this....she did attend years ago UWGB and waitressed at the GB location). A few things set me back from our great visit. I am completely open to High Schoolers and their Homecoming...BUT a suggestion to Victoria's (and I have alot of restaurant/supper club working experience) is to (as you know ahead of time your High School Calendar of events) is to if possible save a seating section for those students celebrating to sit in a separate section. The much ongoing young girl traffic back and forth was just too much. That was just a bonus as I do understand the excitement of young girls and am very much ok with. I want to give the positives first as there were many. My concerns to write the review: I ordered Sauvignon Blanc. Waitress came back saying they were out of it. Ok, I am flexible so I will take a different choice-not a problem. My husband ordered blue cheese crumbled (not a problem we pay extra)...BUT they were out of readily available and waitress had to go 'downstairs' to get some....ok my husband waited...but by that time.....let's just say the salad was wilted by then. I ordered my sauce with angel hair instead of fettuccine noodles as I have a hard time swallowing drier/starchier/thicker items...(I paid extra not a problem). When the dishes came, I lifted and turned the pasta and it was (of course) a large amount and underneath was not sauced so the entire plate needed more sauce so not to be so dry and sticky. I requested a cup of the sauce to add to the pasta to make it 'wetter' so to swallow it with ease instead of dryness and choking. In the mean time I had ordered another glass of wine. SO the bill comes....not only am I charged for the sauce which should have just been on to begin with...but ..... ok.....BUT the wine?? I was charged for what they did not have (a higher price) than what I received as again they were out...(and second glass was rang up as to what i did receive and was cheaper than what I requested-that is how I even knew).. I, with great experience, tipped waitress very good....just seemed petty for me to want to tell her to redo the bill, charge accordingly, and your tip would more (seeing I was charged for items I did not receive and/or was charged for items I shouldn't have been). 4 meals, deserts, and cocktails.......do not get to Appleton often but look forward to Victoria's again (will be a bit on top of my...
Read moreAs a professional food critic, I eat all over the country. When I am in town, I will usually make a stop at a local Italian eatery. I chose Victoria's and was asked to eat and critique Victoria's by an independent firm. I gave this restaurant a 2 out of 5 on this visit. I thought the service was slower than usual and not nearly as responsive as previous ventures. I ate with my wife on this trip. She ordered a seafood dish with scallops and shrimp with a white sauce . I had a custom pasta dish with veal. The fresh bread that came to the table was tasty. We enjoyed the bread. The salad's came. they had nasty lettuce in it that was so slimy it looked slimy even. We picked that stuff out. The dressings were mediocre. We thought, oops, maybe they missed a few bad pieces. NO it was just poor quality chefs that night. My wife got her pasta and it had no scallops in it. We told our wait staff and they questioned my wife like she was a liar and thief from the alley out back. Since she was hard to track down and ask immediately, it was rather difficult as it was. My wife is a God fearing woman. Why would she lie about just scallops and not eh shrimp on her plate? DUH! The chef messed up not only her scallops in the dish, but the sauce as well. The new scallops came out with only 3 scallops the size of my wife's thumb nails. For Real! The sauce in the 3 scallops actually had the right flavor and texture of the described white sauce. The rest of her plate sauce was actually made incorrectly and was very obviously different in texture and taste. WOW! My plate was mediocre quality. Nothing to write home about or here either. The veal was a bit slimy in texture on the outside and not moist as I would have expected on the inside. Overall, the entire experience left us miffed and dismayed. Usually Appleton, WI restaurants do a better job with its customers. I will not recommend this place to any friends heading in to the Appleton area....

From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere that feels like a classic Italian trattoria. The aroma of freshly baked bread and rich sauces fills the air, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
The menu is extensive, offering everything from traditional pasta dishes to hearty seafood and steak options. I had the Chicken Marsala, and it was a standoutâtender chicken, perfectly sautĂ©ed mushrooms, and a Marsala sauce that was both rich and balanced. The portion sizes are incredibly generous, making it an excellent value for the quality of food.
The service was exceptional, with friendly and attentive staff who genuinely care about making your meal special. Despite the bustling crowd, the wait time was reasonable, and our server made great recommendations.
For dessert, the Tiramisu was a must-tryâlight, creamy, and full of espresso flavor without being overly sweet. Paired with a cappuccino, it was the perfect ending to an amazing meal.
Victoriaâs Italian Cuisine truly delivers on authenticity, quality, and hospitality. Whether you're dining in for a romantic date night or a family gathering, this spot should be at the top of your list. 5/5 starsâhighly...
