Well at least my sons Gyro was good.
We came here about 7 years ago and were thouroughly unimpressed. Not bad, just not that good. So, as we werent in the mood for fast food, we decided to try again
Lord and we got the opposite of fast food.
The cast of Gilligans island had a shorter wait for rescue than we did. We arrived about 2:30, and there were two other families there. Waitress took our orders, and then we decended into the tartaran depths of purgatory as we drank glass after glass of lulewarm tap water in a desperate attempt to sate our hunger.
Around 3:45 our food arrived, my wife's burnt (yet somehow cold?!?) shrimp and bowl of cold unseasoned canned corn, my daughter's pasta alfredo, which we can only assume had an elmers glue base, and my hamburger, which i seruously debated takiking home in a doggy bag in case i needed to resole a boot later. The fries were clearly made earlier this morning and microwaved.
But my son really enjoyed his Gyro. Which i can only ascribe to his sunny disposition and good nature based on the rest of the meal.
I dont know if ice in our water cost extra, but at this point i was afraid it would add another hour to our wait time while they looked up the recipe and dug a well for the water, to say nothing of the time it would take them to freeze it.
I would have made a joke about them having to invent a refrigerator to make the ice, but based on the temperature of my wife's shrimp it was abundantly clear the freezer was in perfect working order.
Needless to say they do not have another seven years to improve for our third visit becase we probably wont be back unless we are taking relatives out to dinner that we emphasize that we dont ever want to...
Read moreWe had just spent a long day in the heat painting and were excited to find a steakhouse as we drove through town. However , after our time at Pete’s we will NEVER be back!!
Awful food and terrible service!!
Santa Fe salad had over seasoned chicken. Too salty to even consume!
Greek pizza had soggy meat, bitter marinara sauce, too much mozzarella cheese and NO FETA CHEESE.
We attempted to choke down our food and not complain as we never do that but the food was so bad we called the waitress over. Told her of our dissatisfaction. Another waitress was there rudely asking what was wrong with the food. I told her the menu said feta cheese for the pizza not mozzarella. She further said, “all our pizzas have mozzarella cheese but this info was not on the menu. Nothing was said about the over seasoned chicken other than describing what they use. Don’t care. It was Too MUCH!!! They offered to make different food but by this time we are so frustrated and disgusted by what we had been given we declined.
She said that nothing could be taken off our bill without talking to management. She left to get them. After much time she arrived back at our table saying she had talked to him and they would not be taking anything off of our ticket.
We were shocked by the rudeness and their lack of customer service skills. We left with a lingering awful taste in our mouths and utter shock by the lack of professionalism as they very loudly said we’ve never had such complaints which we found to be lies upon reading the reviews of others.
DO NOT WASTE YIUR MONEY ON TJIS PLACE! I know we will...
Read moreIncredibly delicious ribeye steak, so perfectly cooked and well seasoned! The pairing of this very rich steak with fresh, tender-crisp broccoli was an expert, Top-Chef-level decision. This was not the first time that I chose this dinner; it's just the first time I have submitted a review, but this Manager's Special dinner is always prepared and cooked to perfection. Not only does this steakhouse consistently create sensational dinners, the servers are attentive and friendly. Our server, Revekkah, took time to answer our questions about the chumichurri and other sauces. Her descriptive explanations were so good that I could sense the tastes before they got to our table. It was impressive to watch Revekkah work behind the bar as we ate our salads, too . . . fascinating to watch her mix drinks, double checking each order as she flew through that in between waiting on tables. Her sincerity when she took pause to thank us for coming in, emoted clearly heartfelt gratitude. She showed the same kindness and appreciation to each patron arriving and departing. I was awed to say the least. And, Whaaat? She's the mom??? She moves and looks like a woman much too young to be the mother of grown-up children already.
So, review readers and friends, go there! Eat and drink and take in the permeating flow of magic that she and her family exude at Pete's Steakhouse.
And, Thank you, Revekka!
Thanks to you, too, Nico for stopping at our table to talk a minute and for all the menu creations. We enjoyed the conversation...
