I went to this restaurant and my experience started off very well, however it quickly took a devastating turn. I have dietary restrictions and asked if any of the food options could be made to accommodate my restrictions and to my guest and I’s surprise, I was told there was an entire menu that accommodated my dietary restrictions. Upon reviewing the selections on the menu given to me by a manager, I ordered food from the menu that accommodated my dietary restrictions. About 10-15 mins later my server, who noted the dietary restricted menu in front of me, and had clarified to make sure I wanted food from that menu, told me they were out of an item, and therefore could not make what I ordered. I told them that was okay and proceeded to order different food items FROM THE SAME DIETARY RESTRICTED MENU. The food came out and the friend with whom I was dining ate the Brussels sprouts and found BACON in the Brussels sprouts that were ordered off a VEGAN MENU. I understand that not everyone adheres to a vegan diet and I greatly appreciate when there are vegan menu options on menus, but to have an entire vegan menu and then not follow through and execute that product is a minimum of false advertisement. After eating a few potatoes from a dish ordered off the dietary restricted menu, I began to wonder if the potatoes I ordered were actually vegan because they tasted different than normal. After speaking to the owner and general manager I found out they were cooked in BUTTER and I had in fact eaten dairy, which I’m allergic to. After expressing to the manager that I was upset after eating an allergen I was told that “maybe I should eat at home instead of eating out.” That is very unprofessional for a manager to say to a paying customer with a common food allergy. Instead of taking accountability, the manager blamed me for having a food allergy instead of apologizing for his teams failure to accommodate for something they told me they could accommodate for. I am very disappointed with how I was treated, and will not be returning. Had the manager apologized for the mistake and attempted to make things right I would have been understanding, however, being told that I shouldn’t go out to eat when I’m also presented with a menu that specifically accommodates me, exemplifies poor business practices. In my opinion a business should uphold the standards they share with the customers, if you’re willing to create an entire VEGAN MENU, you should be able to execute that, otherwise...
Read moreWent there last night and have been there a few times before for apps, breakfast, and drinks. This time was for dinner and it fell way below the par line. Servers were great and all was going well untill the main course was served. My wife’s steak ( KC aged steak) came out and had the worst pungent smell ever. It was horrible. I ordered the same exact steak and mine didn’t have any bad smells. The smell was so bad it unfortunately ruined her whole meal. I usually don’t complain, but the smell was horrible and I sent it back and told the server not to worry about replacing it because it upset her stomach and she doesn’t feel like eating now. The manager did return to the table and try to make the excuses that is how dry age smell.... this is not true at all. I have gone to numberous steak houses and have had dry aged and never once have myself or anyone I was with have a pungent smelling steak. Anyways, I ate my steak and it was good, but it ruined the dinner for sure and took away from the entire night. To compensate the server said he would not charge me for the steak the chief agreed was “ bad smelling”... lol I mean no $&@!. She didn’t eat it and it was spoiled meat. However, I still received my 350.00 bill with 20% gratuity included.... mind blown. Your are a high end restaurant and you ruin my night and that’s all you do? And you add gratuity? You get a tip based on service and the server was great. Don’t ruin my meal and night and still slap a guaranteed tip for yourself. I was polite the entire time as was the server and I would have taken care of the server as it wasn’t his fault, but I feel it was placed becauce of my disappointment in the overall experience. Then as I was leaving the extremely nice hostes whonis there every time we go, asked how it was and I replied “ it was great except for hers” the manager was there and replied some smart comment about not being for everyone. Dispite his comment he was correct spoiled steak is not for everyone. Anyways poor experience a lot due to managers comment and spoiled steak, would have def given it another shot had I not been given the included gratuity and the...
Read moreWe always take our daughter somewhere new for her birthday so that she gets to experience different states, culture and travel. This year we traveled to Atlanta. We started looking at places for her birthday meal and she fell in love with the desserts! I booked our meal, left a general message that it was our daughter’s 13th birthday and she was excited to dine at their restaurant. We arrived early but the hostess already knew our names and addressed us with a wonderful welcome. She walked us to our table and explained that the restaurant had reserved their VIP booth for her. It was very nice and offered such an elevation on the night. We had absolutely the best waiter who had the bar staff create a mock tail for my daughter called the “Cinderella”. It was certainly fit for our little lady! She loved it. My wife had a house whiskey sour and I had the smoked old fashion. I’m a huge fan of whistle pig and they had a single barrel that they curated with the distillery. Both were wonderful. We found the meatballs starter really delicious and then marched onto our main course. My wife had the lamb. It was so good that she was picking up the lamb and eating straight off the bone. Clean plate club for her! I had the aged strip. The cook was perfect, the season was spot on. My daughter had the seafood Alfredo and she ate everything to include the tomato’s. That’s high praise because she is a little picky and not a fan of tomato. We finished off with the desserts. WOW factor!! I had the Limoncello and it was perfect. Not too sweet, not too tart and the tart crust was just hard enough to give it great texture. My wife had the mocha affogato which was perfectly balanced. But, the show piece was my daughter’s dessert The “Atlanta Peach”. A work of art on a plate. The “peach” was beautifully crafted with a sinful inside. Somehow my daughter let me have a small bite and I was absolutely lucky that she did! What an amazing overall experience. Thank you to all...
