If you love finding new coffee spots like I do, you know the thrill of discovering a hidden gem. Recently, while scrolling through Instagram, I stumbled upon a reel featuring a chic new hotel near the Beltline with a coffee shop and wine bar inside called Bar Premio. Intrigued, I grabbed my bestie and headed out for an adventure.

First Impressions: As soon as we walked in, I was struck by the aesthetics. This place is stunning! It's spacious with a vibe that's part modern cafe, part sexy speakeasy. If I hadn't known they served coffee, I'd have assumed it was just a trendy bar. It's definitely a spot where you can get some work done, though it does get busy quickly. So, bring your laptop, but maybe also bring some noise-canceling headphones.

Perfect for Dates: Bar Premio is an excellent choice for a coffee or lunch date. They offer a nice selection of food, although I was slightly disappointed by the limited pastry options. Still, the atmosphere more than makes up for it, making it a great place to chill and chat.

The Coffee Experience: Now, let’s talk about the coffee. Bar Premio uses La Colombe Coffee, which I was excited to try. However, I have to admit, the coffee didn't quite hit the mark for me. I ordered a vanilla latte, but the espresso tasted a bit over-extracted, and the vanilla syrup was underwhelming. I also tried a black coffee, which was decent but nothing to write home about. Plus, the drip coffee was a bit pricey, but hey, it's a hotel—what do you expect?

Service & Final Thoughts: If I had to rate Bar Premio, I'd give it a solid 6 out of 10. The aesthetics were fantastic, and the space is beautiful, but the service was average. The barista who took my order didn't seem particularly pleasant, though another barista was quite friendly. Overall, the coffee was just... blah. I had high hopes, but my taste buds were left wanting more.

Practical Tips: There is paid parking available, and they offer Wi-Fi if you need to get some work done. Just be prepared for a bustling atmosphere during peak hours.

So, if you're in the area and looking for a place with great vibes and decent coffee, give Bar Premio a try. Just don't set your coffee expectations too...

I visited Bar Premio with a friend, excited to enjoy a Negroni. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.

Upon entering, I noticed the staff preparing cocktails in batches, specifically espresso martinis. While I understand the efficiency of batch preparation, it felt off-putting as I placed my order. When my Negroni arrived, it sadly missed the mark; considering it’s just three ingredients, I expected much better.

To add to my frustration, I overheard the bartender asking how much of each ingredient to include in the batch, which indicated a lack of familiarity with essential Italian spirits. It would benefit the staff to receive training on these basics, as it seemed there was little regard for the quality of the drinks being served.

For a venue named Bar Premio, I anticipated a higher standard of knowledge and craftsmanship. Paying nearly $20 for a drink that fell short was disappointing.

If you’re looking for a casual experience—like going to Red Lobster for their rolls—you might have a good time here. However, if you’re expecting authentic Italian craftsmanship at a premium price, you may find yourself sorely disappointed, may luck be...

UPDATE: Jah made me the best Strawberry Bourbon Sour, A MUST TRY! It's Perfection.

I have to take a moment to shout out Manager Kenna because she is truly the reason I keep coming back! From the very first time I walked in, she made me feel so welcome—like I was more than just a customer, but a valued guest. You know that rare kind of hospitality that feels effortless and genuine? That’s Kenna in a nutshell.

Every single time I see her, she greets me with the warmest smile and makes sure everything is just right. She remembers little details, checks in to see how I’m doing, and always goes the extra mile to make sure I have the best experience possible. Whether it’s offering a great recommendation, handling things with grace, or just brightening the space with her energy, she makes every visit feel special.

It’s so rare to find someone who truly loves what they do, and it’s obvious Kenna does. Her kindness, professionalism, and overall amazing vibe make such a difference. Because of her, I don’t just want to come back—I genuinely look forward to it. She’s a gem, and I can’t say enough great things about her!

Thank you.... you are much...

Food and drinks tasted great. In our opinion, the portion sizes were too small for the price. The pasta is excellent, but would love more. I also would like to try the other dishes on the menu, but the price does not seem worth it. Additionally, the Lemon Ricotta dessert is absolutely not worth it for the price and is not a shareable portion. The waiters seem constantly confused, but are extremely friendly and make killer cocktails, so I don’t care. The atmosphere is fantastic. TLDR; Food is excellent, but pricey with low portions. Lemon Ricotta Bomboli is alright, pricey and not shareable. Drinks are great, fair price. It’s worth trying out if you’re feeling greedy.
