IL Premio offers a delightful culinary journey, particularly if you're a fan of seafood. While our visit focused solely on their marine offerings, the extensive menu hints at a diverse selection worth exploring on future visits. The seafood dishes we tried were truly excellent, showcasing fresh ingredients and skillful preparation. The cocktail situation, however, was a bit of a letdown. We had perused IL Premio's online cocktail menu beforehand and arrived with high expectations for a creative and varied drink selection. Unfortunately, the in-restaurant menu was notably more limited. We were informed that the online menu hadn't been updated, which was disappointing as it meant several enticing options we'd been looking forward to weren't available. While the cocktails we did try were good, they didn't quite reach the "best ever" status, and the discrepancy with the online menu was a minor frustration. Parking Tips Parking is generally abundant in the vicinity of IL Premio, but a crucial tip to remember is to park in the basement lot or utilize the valet service. Be aware that the parking lot directly across from the building will not be validated, so plan accordingly to avoid unexpected fees. Overall, IL Premio is definitely worth a visit for its delicious food, especially the seafood. If you're particular about your cocktails, it might be best to manage your expectations or inquire about their current drink offerings when making a...
Read moreDo not come here if you intend to order adult beverages if you would like to not get absolutely blasted and overcharged! Horrifying prices and total rip off in the beverage department.
We work across the street and often belly up to Burle’s bar above the Victorian Plant Shop which is also fairly pricey with their drink costs. Never did we think it could get WORSE. As business owners who often entertain our clients after meetings, we decided to change up the scenery and go here for cocktails. Our preferred beverage is blanco tequila on the rocks and our party of 4 adults ordered two rounds of the following which cost us OVER SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS — $700+ BEFORE TIP!!! 2 double Forteleza tequilas on a big rock, old fashion + gin and tonic. $700+ BEFORE TIP. The cost of our double Forteleza tequilas were $50 PER SHOT = $100 PER ROUND ALONE.The same pour per shot at Burle’s is $22 which is still very pricey and not as awful as this.
We live in Grant Park and will never return to this establishment as they completely rip you off (this includes our other experience at the roof top lounge where we had a similar experience and suppose we should’ve known better). I hate having to leave bad reviews for what we as locals should be promoting as solid places that locals should support and spend their money to keep them in business. This is wildly misleading and...
Read moreMy mom, sister, and I had such a wonderful first visit to Il Premio. From the start, Alex welcomed us in the lounge with warmth, helping us find the perfect glass of wine and continuing to check in throughout the evening. That kind of attentiveness really set the tone for the night.
Once seated, the staff as a whole impressed us with their impeccable service, but I want to especially highlight Milan. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, patiently answering every question and sharing thoughtful, detailed recommendations. His passion for the food was contagious—he described each dish so beautifully that I almost mistook him for our server! Thanks to him, we tried the bolognese, which was the ultimate comfort dish and one we’ll be ordering again and again. His care and enthusiasm truly elevated the experience.
Shane, our server, was also an outstanding professional, attentive, and kind. Between him, Milan, Alex, and the additional touches from Andre and Brianna, it felt like the entire team was working together to make our evening special. The dishes we ordered, the branzino, Spigola e Caviale, Rigatoni all’Astice, and of course the bolognese were all exceptional.
The food, ambiance, and above all, the service exceeded every expectation. This was the first of many visits to come, and I’m so glad we gave Il...
