Had a reservation on Sunday , July 13, 2025 for 1:30pm. When we arrived, the hostess couldn’t “find our reservation”, even though it was made on Resy. Nonetheless, she was still able to seat us , but we had to wait for her to setup the table since we wanted to sit outside. This wait time, while watching her set it up, took about 10 minutes just to place glasses and utensils at a table. Once we were finally seated, 20 minutes went by, with no server to greet us. No one was outside, except for one couple, and a young lady sitting on the side of us, so it was not busy to where it would take that long for someone to assist us.
As another 10 minutes after the 20 went by, the hostess comes to explain that she would be taking our drink order. We immediately told her by this time we were ready to order since we had been waiting for so long for someone to come to our table. That’s when she then told us, she was basically our “waiter” until our initial waiter was available. How do you have someone be a hostess and waiter at the same time is beyond me.
After we put in our order, and after finally at least getting water, time started to be wasted again, until we had to end up asking the young lady next to us has the service been slow for her as well, and she communicated that it was EXTREMELY slow for her as well. It was to the point she ended up leaving.
We arrived at 1:30 , was seated at 1:45, and by 2:45 we still had no food, and no drinks. Once we decided to get up and leave, the waiter I’m guessing we were supposed to initially have finally walks over to ask if we need anything, but it was too late. We were hungry and over it. Upon leaving, the manager came to ask about our experience, apologized, took down my information and advised she would give me a call by end of day to resolve the issue we had during our experience at the restaurant. It is now Tuesday, and I have yet to receive a phone call for a resolution. This is very disappointing, and extremely bad business when this was a place I...
Read moreNeed a tucked away spot that will give the feeling that you’ve temporarily left some of the hustle of ATL for a slice of the Mediterranean? Definitely check out Elektra on the 4th floor of the Forth Hotel. My experience this visit was limited to cocktails and their mezze platter, but those two items alone, along with the stellar bar service from Darren, will have me returning soon.
On the cocktail front, Darren and the bar staff were very knowledgeable and mixed some great drinks whether you selected something from their menu, picked a classic, or went off-script (I started with the Elektra martini, and followed up with a barrel-rested, gin old fashioned that Darren recommended, which was great for the last gasps of summer).
For the food, even the often humble mezze platter came out looking beautiful and tasted easily as good as it looked. The use of seasonal ingredients such as peaches was a fun change of pace, the baba ghanoush may be the best I’ve ever had, and the labneh was a lovely compliment to the other offerings on the tray. Elektra’s culinary team took an array of dips and small bites and turned it into a great meal that was perfect for sharing with someone while taking in good conversation and their beautiful space.
Overall, I couldn’t have been happier with my visit and I look forward to going back to try their...
Read moreI was really disappointed with my recent experience at Elektra. Despite several attempts to contact them via phone and email in the late morning, I only received a response at 5 p.m. informing me that they could offer a reservation at 7 p.m. By then, we were already running late due to traffic on I-85, exacerbated by construction delays.
Once we arrived, we were seated promptly, but that’s where the positive experience ended. After receiving water, our server completely ignored us. We waited 25 minutes before we had to ask someone else to locate our server so we could place a drink order. When our drinks finally arrived, it was 45 minutes into our visit.
The issues didn’t stop there. We had to actively seek out our server to place a food order. Although the food was excellent, the service left much to be desired. Our server provided cutlery but no plates, and we had to ask another staff member for plates. Throughout the meal, our server was more focused on the POS system than on attending to our table.
Overall, the service was unacceptably poor, overshadowing the quality of the food. I hope this review serves as constructive feedback for improving...
