The food is mediocre on a good night, but the main issue is the service which is absolutely horrendous and seems to get worse every time I go here. Our most recent attempt at giving this place a shot we went before a show at the Fox. Immediately upon sitting down the waitress came across as having an attitude and that worsened once we ordered 2 drinks and an appetizer. I can only assume she was expecting a poor tip since we weren't eating a full meal. After 30 minutes we finally got our first drink which was a completely different menu item than we ordered. About 15 minutes later the manager brought our appetizer and we explained that we were given the incorrect drink. He initially didn't believe us but after showing him the menu he acknowledged that it was the wrong item. He want to get us the right drink and check on the second drink we never received. While he was gone the waitress came over and began telling us that we were wrong about the drink and that it was the correct item. She continued to get more belligerent as we tried to explain that based on the menu it was not. She walked away and the manager returned. I told him that she had come back to the table in an aggressive manner to tell us we were wrong about the drink. He said "yeah I'm not really sure what her problem is with you guys but I will be addressing it with her" which seems to indicate she had been complaining about us to other staff while we were still waiting on our second drink we never received. We told him we'd like to pay the bill and just leave. He told us there was no charge and we left. As other commenters have mentioned there is a very obvious management/training issue at this place. The fact that this type of behavior is tolerated by management, that the staff don't know the menu well enough to make the correct menu items and that the manger would acknowledge that the server was openly criticizing patrons simply because of what they ordered is rather telling. I go to the Fox 10-15 times a year and would love to make this a regular part of those visits but I won't be back until significant changes are made to the...
Read moreOh boy. We went to Edgar's last night prior to seeing Wiz at the Fox. Edgar's, a Fox Theater partner, was not a good experience. After being seated we waited 30 minutes before notifying the manager that we had not seen our server. He had our server come over and take our order. She was polite, but after taking our order we never saw her again. after waiting an additional 20 minutes and not having our drink orders, I went to find the manager. The bartender saw me waiting, and said that he didn't have any drink orders for us and said he would take our order and bring it to the table. The bartender basically took over for our server, who at this point had no other tables. She was more concerned with her tips and bussing tables, than serving us as the last customers. Even with the bartender helping us, our food was very delayed, and came out piece by piece. The bill was $200, and for the quality of service was not worth it. It was a very terrible experience. After the bartender brought our check, the server came over and asked us if we needed anything. Yikes. The terrible service we received caused us to be late to our show. We were at Edgar's 90 minutes before the show started. No apologies from the manager. PLEASE don't waste your time on this restaurant. Plan and get reservations...
Read moreI usually always read reviews along with checking the star ratings, I didn't do it before eating here and I'm still paying for it 24+ hours later. The perfect review has already been written by by someone else, it is spot on.
One waiter for the entire floor. He held his own for a bit, no one person should be asked to serve that many tables/people.
We ordered drinks (easy enough) and basic burgers with cheese, a cheeseburger, simple. We got the condiment packets mentioned by others, exactly ONE ketchup packet for the burger, more were given upon asking. Burger looked sketch, anemic for the price, and oh, the "house" chips, definitely dumped from a bag of Lays or similar. From the first bite of the burger it was undeniably bad. Old meat? Probs. Freezer burned old meat? Very likely. It tasted old, gamey, awful.
Very convenient location, the good ends there. Proceed at your own risk. For drinks alone, should be fine. For dining, maybe something other than the...
