Our experience was so bad it was almost comical…almost. We arrived a little before 11 on a Sunday hoping to get a dozen bagels, sandwiches and cream cheese. I understand that we must have been late to the game because they were sold out of wheat, plain, Asiago… almost all of the bagels. They did have blueberry, 2 chocolate chip, a hash brown bagel (when I asked what it was the girl behind the counter said- I don’t know, I just started here), pumpernickel and I think cranberry. We decided that we would just go for 6 bagels and sandwiches and ordered the two chocolate chip and four blueberry as the 6 and for sandwiches we order pumpernickel and hash brown bagels both with extra bacon(crisp), egg and cheese. When my husband picked up the bag of six bagels, he asked why it was hot. We did not order them toasted. The said they they must just be freshly out of the oven. When we looked at them- they were all sliced and toasted. We showed them to the employee and they said- I can give you new bagels. They only had the blueberry so we swapped them for just blueberry and they threw in a container of cream cheese as an apology. We did not check our sandwiches until we were in the car but the pumpernickel was actually blueberry and the bacon was barely heated let alone crisp. We decided we would just eat the blueberry bagel with the cream cheese but when we opened it, it was moldy. We were too far from the shop to return but it was basically a $42 headache that left us hungry, frustrated and having to stop somewhere else for food.

I recently dined at Einstein Bros. Bagels and would rate my experience a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The staff was impressively kind and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming ambiance within the establishment. I opted for the Chorizo Burrito, priced reasonably at around $7. While the meal was enjoyable, the reason for the 4-star rating was that I found the food somewhat lacking in spices, though this may be due to my Indian background and preference for spicier flavors. Einstein Bros Bagels offers a great breakfast option for those who prefer milder tastes, and I recommend requesting extra spice if you're like me and prefer a bolder flavor profile.

The energy of this place was warm and friendly. The staff knew their regular customers who came in and even asked about their families. Hugs were exchanged. It feels great to be in a store or restaurant where people are friendly and know your name. It seems to be a rarity these days—especially in s major city.

This place stole money from me!! After ordering Starbucks next door I walked over to get a couple of bagels. While ordering the young lady never checked to see if they had the bagel I was ordering before taking my payment. After payment was taken, she then said, “ oh we don’t have that bagel”. She then asked me if I wanted to get a different bagel and I said yes, but then she came back and said they would have to charge me more for it and so I respectfully declined and asked for a refund. She then supposedly started to process the “refund” and said it would be back on my card within 5-7 business days which was a HUGE inconvenience!!! She hands me my receipt saying that the refund is done and I leave. After waiting 5 days with no refund I call the store multiple times with no answer. I then wait a few more days. Again with no refund I call the store again and no answer . It has been 2 weeks and I still have no refund!!! I have called this store almost everyday, all day and no one ever picks up the phone! I haven’t been able to go up to the store because I haven’t been feeling well! This is so ridiculous and text book theft! If it comes to light that the young lady intentionally did not process my refund I will be pressing charges for theft!!! I want my money back! I don’t care how much it is, it’s mine!!!!! I will be making a police report since I can’t reach anyone...

I went to get bagels here 3 times during the week I was staying in the area.

  1. first time I went I ordered a half dozen bagels w/ 1 shmear and added 1 more extra shmear. I got my bagels and went back to my Airbnb only to realize that they didn't have any shmear so I went back and was told that I was supposed to have grabbed it myself. Ok so I did that but they they said that since I only got a dozen I am only supposed to take 1 so I had to explain that I purchased one more. Ended up ok but was a hassle to have to go back etc.

  2. Not sure what the tipping culture is these days but gave a $3 tip on the $20 bill for the half dozen bagels.

  3. Got a bagel on another day (was around $2.50) and tipped $1.

  4. There was a homeless looking guy sitting at the first table on the left when you walk in. He was there every day that I went. I usually went early (at around 6am or so). One day I went at 6:05 and they hadn't opened yet but they opened the door for me and the homeless looking guy walked in with me.

  5. Google said that they open at 5:30 so I went but the window said that they open at 6 so I had to go back. Perhaps someone should update the information on Google.

  6. Bagels are good but they get really hard and dry after 1 day even though you keep it in the bag and close up...
