Classic terrible Atlanta restaurant trying to do the most but clearly doesn't care at all about customer experience.
Came here with a group of 4 on a weekend afternoon, the entire place was very disheveled despite there being maybe 8 people sat at the bar, no one else sitting at tables, and at least 4 bartenders/servers. Our server was nice, but the place is run very poorly.
Like so many other reviews, service was extremely slow and the kitchen and bar were out of almost everything we asked for. Our server didn't even know what they were out of, so it was only 5-10 minutes after we ordered that he came back and told us they were out of the thing we ordered. The food took ages to come out -- again, there were maybe like 8 other people around us, and clearly there was plenty of staff. The food was actually very good, too, when it finally came out, and reasonably priced, so they get credit for that.
Our server disappeared for like 45 straight minutes at one point, leaving us to sit around and wait for our check because none of the 3 other bartenders bothered to check on us either. We finally flagged someone down and asked for our check, and he immediately forgot and started to pull checks for people at the bar, but not us (sitting at a table). It wasn't for another 10 minutes till our server finally showed up that we asked for our check again and finally got it.
I believe we were overcharged as well, since two $7 salads (we specified that we wanted the $7 one), a $12 appetizer, and a vodka lemonade definitely doesn't cost $50. Truthfully we would likely have spent way more than $50 if the place was functioning properly, had their listed menu items available, and made us want to stick around for another drink (or if our server was even present to ask if anyone wanted another drink). But by the time we finally got our check we were all running late for the rest of our day, I just wanted to leave that place and forget about it so it wasn't worth arguing about and waiting probably another 15 minutes for the correct check.
Definitely will not be returning, and will be actively warning people to stay away from this place. There's so many other better places to get a...
Read moreWhen we arrived to the rooftop there was no employees present. there was a line of people waiting at the bar to be served. A manager showed up walked past everyone and did not acknowledge any of us as he stood with the back door open speaking to the bartender who was apparently in the back room behind the bar. I made eye contact with him multiple times and he still continued to ignore everyone. After those 10mins the bartender came out and said she was the only one there working for the entire rooftop so we would not be able to be served food so we decided to leave. Then the bartender said they validate parking but when i put my ticket in the rooftop machine it charged me $20. So she told me to go downstairs to checkin to ask for validation assistance. After going downstairs there was no registration booth and only a bar with another missing bartender. After waiting 10mins for him to arrive with again multiple people waiting to be served, he told me the hotel does not validate or manage the parking garage and to use the assistance button on the parking call box. After leaving, my parking ticket was clocked by the parking meter as 28mins which was under 30mins which was listed as a $5 fee however the machine was trying to still charge me $20. When i pushed the assistance button the lady who answered was very very rude and told me it’s $20 for weekend parking and she is not responsible for the restaurant not being able to serve us and we would not be allowed to leave without paying $20. That was one of the worst experiences and I can understand being short staffed however I cannot accept being ignored, being given the run around, not knowing the parking policy, no one taking accountability for parking, and being charged $20 to park for less than 30mins even though not being able to be served after making brunch reservations only 2hrs before arrival. They should’ve turned off reservations if they were not able to...
Read moreWent after the St Patrick's Day Parade. It was a gorgeous day to check out a rooftop. There weren't many people up there. It took some time to find the access door, as it's on the 6th floor but you have to walk a long way down a hallway and turn by the bathrooms to get to the door for the rooftop restaurant area, not a lot of signage. The views aren't great, just of other close by buildings, but it is a cute designed space. I sat at the bar and was greeted immediately by one of the bartenders. I got a beer and ordered the jalapeño corn hushpuppies and the honey hot chicken sliders. The food was good, the chicken sliders could have used a little more sauce. A DJ came and set up and had a good selection of music playing and it wasn't too loud. Very relaxed environment.
There were a couple of kids in a corner, and they started climbing on the outer glass wall and then started pickup up small rocks and throwing them over the glass. Before I could flag down a staff member, someone from the team went over and got on to them. Apparently the mom was working in the kitchen, as they went to the back and brought her out to talk to them.
They take your card and open a tab, which I'm fine with. My biggest issue was when I went to close out, another bartender just yelled out an amount, which didn't sound right and handed me a non itemized receipt to sign. I asked for an itemized receipt and they seemed to stall as if just waiting for me to put down a tip and sign off on what I was given. The total was more than expected. After being given the itemized version, I noticed 18% gratuity was already included. The menu says it's only automatically added for parties of 6 or more, I was alone. I didn't add extra tip and left it as is. I felt that was a...
