Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams — Restaurant in Atlanta

I am a previous worker here and I do want to let all of you know how uncleanly this place really is. There is a dark mold growing behind the water sprouts. There is no hot water in the building anywhere so any dishes cleaned have not touched hot water for months we just use water soapy water or whatever is available. I tried my best to do as I could but I have no power, we tried to inform the higher ups but we did not have a real manager for a while so nothing was done. We are suppose to clean the toilet with cleaner every closing night but we actually haven't had a cleaner to use for months so that toilet has only been sprayed with a kind of sanitizer. I have found mold on the cake cones before but was told to just throw them away. The whole box or shipment could be contaminated for all I know. The water fountain found next to the trash and napkin station have never been cleaned. No one has touched the actual spout to clean of any mildew or bacteria since I started in February. A couple clients have actually used it to wash their hands before that I've seen. When they do find this post, they will tell the workers to do better cleaning and give them a list to do without actually making any change. They may or may not remove my comment but we tried to do our best to serve all our clients with a smile. But I have to tell the truth to all the nice people I've encountered during my experience...

I was able to sneak away for lunch to give one of my favorite ice cream spots a try! This new location is EVERYTHING!!! They are located in the Wholefoods Shopping market right beside Velvet Taco. Parking for the most part is plentiful. The top part is mostly catered to Whole Foods but they do have parking at the bottom. The shopping complex is shared with several different t business so choose your visit time wisely!

It’s very open and bright with a little workspace area in the front with a view of the complex. I was warmly greeted with the smell of fresh waffle cones being made by Jaime. Olivia was very pleasant and was knowledgeable of the different flavors. I opted for the seasonal flavor of White Chocolate Macadamia Nut and it didn’t disappoint not one bit. I read great reviews of the ice cream. I took my family there for a treat. We were greeted by two very friendly staff members. As we were trying to order another "male" (not sure how to identify any more) came out the back and was freaking out that we did not have our masks on. There was no signs on the door and every customer in line were not wearing any. I took out my mask and put it on. "He" came from behind the counter and was frantically telling people to put on masks. There was a small sign on the counter glass asking to wear masks. We ordered our ice cream and sat down. I was a little perturbed by his actions but hey, their rules are their rules. It wasn't until his friend came in with food and I watched him hug him, played in his dreads then proceeded to not to wash his hands and and started to scoop ice cream, after scratching his nos that I got aggravated.
