Sooo, I have had donuts from across the country: Detroit ( Dutch Girl) , Chicago ( Dat Donut), New Orleans ( Buttermilk Drop), Los Angeles ( Randy’s) and these ARE NO RANDYS! OMG ! Even Atlanta’s Sarah Donuts (Decatur) are better. And Atlanta is at the bottom of my donut list.

First problem is the location. As if Lenox Mall isn’t crowded enough. And parking is a nightmare! Second, the trailer Randy’s is in is a far cry from their initial location choice. (FUNDING FELL THRU?) You have to stand outside to be served as the INSIDE IS SO SMALL. Having a business that’s affected by weather is not good. How much can you earn on a rainy day? Donuts are made off site (of course), so are they ever hot ? My husband surprised me with a dozen this morning (that was 40$). I opened that box in anticipation of sinking my teeth into the Randy’s I once had…BUT NOOOO. The first thing I noticed was the donut SHAPE. The bottoms were wider than the top. And pics I’ve seen online were that way too. WHY? Are these hand cut by a 5 yr old? Then, after just looking, I could see that the glaze was essentially nonexistent. In fact, glaze was only put on the top and…maybe the bottom? The sides were untouched. THATS A BIG NO FOR ME! Then, took a bite… heavy and dense and the dough is bland. My suggestion: 1) MOVE TO A LESS BOUJEE AREA OF TOWN. 2) BIGGER STORE. 3) LOWER THE PRICE. 4) BETTER DONUT CUTTER AND A BETTER RECIPE 5) MORE GLAAAAZE!!! BTW, my husband noted that the server was great…very professional. SAY, WHY NOT GET A SPOT IN FOOD...

DONT FOLLOW THE BANDWAGON unless you want to be hooked🪝 on Randy’s donuts 🍩 I didn’t want to believe the hype until I tried the donuts myself. I’m so glad that Randy’s decided to come to Atlanta, I’ve been waiting a long time to try these donuts. Right off the back it wasn’t as sweet as it looked granted, I did get there at 7 in the morning, so I’m not too sure if the timing you go changes your experience, but I know that there was freshly made ready to go. The original glazed doughnut was by for the best doughnut I have ever tasted. Krispy Kreme is extremely sweet. Every time I bite in their donut, I get that tingling sensation in the back of my mouth. On the other hand at Randy’s I tried six donuts and I believe the Homer Simpsons pink sprinkled doughnut gave me that sensation. That was also least favorite by the way didn’t really like that pink glaze on top. The sprinklers were fine. The strawberry filled doughnut was perfect 👌🏾 The filling tasted fresh, like it wasn’t artificially made in a way you can just tell deference.Indeed better than the other competitors. All the donuts were fluffy, moist and delicious to eat all in one bite. If they wasn’t an hour away, I’ll probably grab half a dozen every week. Definitely wanna try the jumbo Texas glazed doughnut if I remember correctly and their other flavors that they have to offer. I definitely recommend trying Randy’s at least once if you have it. If these are supposedly the best donuts in LA, maybe that’s why I don’t like LA. Or they don’t know how to follow the recipe in Atlanta. Because these were absolute trash.

The apple fritter was literally a giant grease bomb! Visually it looked OK and it was big but as soon as you’ve been into it, the grease feeling in your mouth the taste I mean I probably could’ve squeezed it like a sponge and watch the grease drip out of it.

As far as the space it’s nonexistent. They make everybody wait outside. They allow one person in at a time then they take 10 minutes to box up the donuts. There was about 12 people ahead of me and it took over an hour for me to get inside.

Then once you get inside, they try to push you to order at least a half dozen. I told him I didn’t need that many. I just needed one or two and they were like you sure you don’t want half dozen no just one or two and they literally kept pushing it and pushing it. Absolutely not the kind of place. I’d wanna go again. For what it’s worth I did end up ordering four donuts just because I felt obligated to order more than one, but they all ended up getting tossed in the trash because none of them...

Randy’s Donuts has officially made its way to Atlanta, and I had the chance to check them out on day two of their grand opening. This new location sits right in the Lenox Mall parking lot, and it’s impossible to miss thanks to the iconic giant floating Randy’s donut perched outside. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine Southern hospitality. A friendly gentleman outside welcomed guests with a warm smile, and that same energy carried through to the staff inside. As a first-timer, I kept it classic—glazed, strawberry with sprinkles, vanilla with sprinkles, and a chocolate cake donut. Each one was generously sized, soft, and fluffy with just the right touch of sweetness. The setup is container-style, so don’t expect indoor seating. It’s a grab-and-go spot, but they’ve got a patio deck if you want to pause and enjoy your treats on the spot. Overall: Great experience, great donuts, and even better vibes. I’ll definitely be back for another sweet treat
