SmokeShow BBQ — Restaurant in Augusta

I, like someone else who reviewed, have seen their trucks since I moved to Columbia county a few years ago but was never brave enough to stop. Thanks to the VA doing "food truck fridays" for employees I was able to try their food about a month ago. I've been hooked since. I've tried the ribs, pulled pork sandwich, hash with rice, and mac & cheese. All have been great, my go to now has been the pulled pork sandwich and the mac. I dont eat much at one time but I dont like a lot of meat at one time so the sandwich gets cut in half and feeds me for 2 days. Same with the mac, very cheesy and well seasoned. I only do half of that at a time too cause of the richness. Hash is new to me. Where I'm from we have Brunswick stew as a BBQ side and there's a similar flavor profile with the hash minus veggies. Quick easy lunch spot that is mostly good. Unfortunately quality seems to be inconsistent. Pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches have always been good, stick with those and you'll probably be ok.

Got ribs today and they smelled and tasted awful, something was wrong with either the rub or the grill because the meat itself was not bad inside. Whatever was used in the outside such as the rub may have gone bad, it smelled and tasted like fish food flakes or something rotten. May have been the grill not getting cleaned, unsure what human food ingredients could possibly smell and taste the way these ribs did.

Hopefully this can get corrected with better quality control and sampling of their product before serving...

I recently visited this BBQ food truck and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed! The flavors were incredible, and the portions were generous. But let me tell you, their mac and cheese is out of this world. It was the perfect balance of creamy and cheesy, with a hint of spice that made every bite simply amazing.

The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the food truck itself was clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus in my book.

Overall, I highly recommend this BBQ food truck for anyone looking for some fantastic BBQ and an unforgettable mac and cheese experience....
