Friends bar for the first time. Came for the live music (tonight’s was Sunny Wolf). Great bar with good service, quality food, and great vibes. What we ordered from food truck (Food Notes) in the back: Texas poutine, and a brisket and smoked chicken taco. Texas poutine ($14) green chili queso, pulled pork, corn relish, sour cream, green onion. Delicious but pricey. Brisket Taco ($7) Smoked brisket, jalapeno cilantro sauce, avocado, garnished with cilantro. Excellent quality would get again. Smoked Chicken Taco ($7) corn relish, avocado, salsa verde. A little slimy and not so good as the brisket. You can get coke in a bottle for $4 at the food truck.

I have explored several establishments on 6th Street, but Friends Bar consistently stands out as the most vibrant. The atmosphere here is truly unique, creating an energetic and welcoming environment. Every visit has been an enjoyable experience, with affordable food and drinks adding to the appeal. The venue is always buzzing with a lively crowd of young patrons, all immersed in the dynamic ambiance and making the most of their time. I look forward to returning and continuing to enjoy everything this place has to offer.

We had visited this bar back in November and heard some good live music, so we went again this month when I was in town. We had an even better experience this time! First of all, I ordered a cocktail that was on special, and it was delicious! Then there was a misunderstanding (on my part) about whether or not my boyfriend had ordered his drink, and the bartender was very patient and easygoing about my confusion, which I appreciated.

We ordered the Texas poutine from the food counter in the back. It was yummy and really hit the spot!

The live music was out of this world. The guitarist was Brad Stivers, and he is amazing, as were the musicians playing with him. We were doing a bar crawl, but I said, "We can't leave with music this good playing right now!" So we stayed and had another drink. Unfortunately, the table was wobbly, and it tipped, breaking an empty glass and spilling my fresh drink. We were embarrassed, but before we could even react, one of the bartenders had come over with a broom and dustpan and cleaned it up. He was so gracious about it, and even got me a new drink at no charge! I was really impressed with the service all around, the music was fantastic, and the vibe was both relaxing and energizing. It is definitely...

The bar itself is very cool, good music, nice people, the works. However, I went there tonight hoping to have a good time with my friend Maria and was greeted with a absolutely, completely wasted Bartender who not only got my drink completely wrong as well as my friends, but also asked me to then pay for his mistake and the drink I originally asked for before. Even more, he asked for my ID, to make sure I didn’t get in as a minor, fair enough, and then tried to use it as a credit card for at least 3 minutes before realizing he meant to ask for payment. When I repeatedly asked for my ID back upon realizing his mistake he tried to grab my wallet out of my hand and when I refused repeatedly because I wasn’t even the one paying, he threatened to kick me out. I work in the service industry, if I ever, EVER tried to grab money out of a customers hand I’d hope my manager would fire me on the spot because that’s completely out of line. Worst service I’ve ever had in my entire life, if I had his name I’d tell you to avoid him specifically but since he never gave it I recommend avoiding the...
