WARNING: It says you will get charged for parking if you are there longer than 10 minutes.
They do not say that the fine is 92$. Plus 5$ if you pay with a credit card.
Save your self time, and if you are not walking here, drive to uchi or suerte because they are cheaper than driving here.
The food is ok. I will not be back.
I was there at 6 pm on a Friday and it was empty and I thought, wow the google reviews are still good, but maybe i should leave. It smelled like a greasy diner in there.
Next time, I am at a place like this I will leave. The cashier rang me up and said, "Is this your first time here?"
I said that i had eaten at the food truck before.
He did not ask me about the parking.
When I got food, maybe ten minutes maybe 15 mins later, the bill for parking was there.
I am giving the service a 1 because they must intentionally know that they are empty because the parking situation is so expensive and punative.
Anyway, beware of parking hell, it must be how they try to make their money. I do not expect them to stay in business long with that parking situation.
There are too many better options nearby that either don't pretend to have parking or do have parking that is free.
This is the most scammed I have ever felt in Austin. I am so angry i cannot even finish the food.
3 months later: I walk here because the food is actually really damn good. For parking, use the atx parking app or pay at one of the kiosks on the street. Do not park in front of...

Literally never ever leave bad reviews ever, but this experience was particularly bad. Horrible restaurant, but somehow their service is worse than their food. Advertised buy one get one free beer night FOR 8/1 and $4 tacos from 4-7pm on weekdays. When asked right before ordering, they didn’t know about either special and didn’t honor it and charged me full price for everything. After calling back, they refused to honor the listed special due to it being for a specific kind of taco. I would understand if the food was good, but it was the worst tacos we’ve had for as long as I can remember.
Fish taco was soggy and gross, chilaquiles mole taco was soggy, al pastor was salty and had no flavor. The only not bad ones were the Migas taco and campechano.
Went into the restaurant on Monday morning at 8am asking about getting refund and left my name phone number and full order as they said the owner would call me back. 3 days later and no call back…
Genuinely curious where on the social media post does it say “Street Tacos”? Educate your team as they should probably know what...
Read moreBlack Girl Taco Chronicles sent Just A Girl From The 206 on a special assignment to Granny's Tacos in Austin, Texas. Thank God we stopped at Granny's Tacos! It was a great decision. The line may have been long, but the service was quick and we were able to find a spot to sit. The best part was that everything at Granny's Tacos is made from scratch using homemade, family recipes passed down through generations. You can really taste the difference in the salsas, marinades, and seasonings. We had a variety of tacos, including the Migas (corn chips, eggs, pico, cheese, avocado), Alambre (steak, chicken, bell peppers, chorizo, onion, bacon, jalapeño, cheese, avocado), Shrimp Taco (shrimp, onion, red & green cabbage, granny's dressing, cilantro, avocado), Birria, and Al Pastor. Every single one was absolutely delicious and rated a 10 out of 10. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by Granny's Tacos for some truly authentic and...
