The nice thing about this place is that they have a bar, which is helpful because you will want to drink enough so that you lose your memory of just how disastrous the food and service is here.
To begin, you order at the bar. They don't tell you that you have to designate your table beforehand and stake it out, which is odd. So you need to leave someone behind from the onset which kinda kills the vibe. Don't bother waiting in line, because you can jump it and go to the bar. The blonde bartender will then pretend like she doesn't see the folks patiently waiting and serve whoever bellies up.
From there, you are handed over to the fine folks at the kitchen. The level of disorganization is nothing short of astounding. Food is run at apparently a random order. While we sat there, we observed no fewer than three tables who ordered after us receive their food before us.
I would recommend ordering the bean dip and the pretzels together, as they are the perfect pair. The bean dip's utter lack of flavor matches flawlessly with the pretzel, which is flavored by more salt than you can find in the brilliant blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
The Cuban sandwich was spicy, which is unusual for a Cuban sandwich. The fish tacos were definitely not worth the hour or so wait.
All in all, I would rather suck the snot out of a cat's nose than...
Β Β Β Read moreThey market UFC fights but only show local sports. I left with a beer and got hands laid on me by staff. Much better places in Austin
EDIT after reply: Revelry marketed that they were showing the UFC fight to attract customers, but showed it on the inside with limited seating. The outdoor area showed the Austin FC game in its entirety, then switched to UFC (at that point, it was 3 fights into a 5-fight card). The owner is using "you" as if he/she interacted directly with our party (he/she did not) - we asked for the staff to switch the outside TVs, they said they were honoring the game. We didn't complain - in fact, we stayed for the entire UFC event, paid for drinks, and left after the event was over. On our way out, one member of the staff chased us down the steps, put his hands on my shoulder and arm, and pulled me backwards to yank the can from my hand. He did not "just ask me to throw it away" and I have the other 5 in my party to confirm the above so stop...

Nice mix of flavors. Itβs the first time that I had gumbo with collared greens and crawfish in it. Ham was also listed as one of the ingredients. π€ I was curious then. My favorite part of Revelry is the ambiance π₯°β£οΈQuaint, small, lots of covered patio space. Good music..actually discovered a new song!!All great attributes for a low key, intimate evening out. I look forward to visiting again on my next trip to Austin π₯³π
