I do not usually write reviews but this definitely called for one. We are not terribly familiar with Turkish/Mediterranean food. Found this little gem online, had good reviews so decided to try. Walking up, it's a cute little place, outside seating looking at the menu and a female employee greets is at the ordering window with a smile and friendly hello. We tell her it's our first time there and she's excited at the idea of us being newbies there and to the food. She came out and stood with us to ask us what kind of flavors we liked and explained since items on the menu. THEN she asks us if we'd like to try samples. HELL YEAH! Why not! So she sits with us on the bench outside and explains how they cook their chicken and beef/lamb... everything we tried tasted great! She was so helpful and hospitable! This will for sure leave an impression on us and will definitely return. Everyone was so nice and helpful! Food was delicious! The portions were large enough we couldn't finish. The ambiance was so laid back. I enjoyed the music, they even had a ping ping table outside. If I had a competitor, I would've played😁 All in all, we had a great experience you don't get very often! THANK YOU KEBABSLICIOUS!!! Regret not getting the girls name who helped us but the other staff was so nice as well. It's a must eat! Oh, btw, I had the BOSS FRIES and my gf had a bowl with the beef/lamb, their homemade hot red sauce, and tahini sauce. OH and the falafel was delicious too! GREAT JOB...
Read moreI got the pure Lamb and rice dish with white tzaziki sauce and the red spicy sauce tonite. The white sauce and red sauce are terribly done. The pure Lamb is under seasoned and tastes bland with no sauce on it. Then the red sauce and white sauce made it take worst. Why does ur white tzaziki sauce taste like its expired and gone bad? Why does your spicy red sauce taste like you used expired tomatoes to make somehow a crappier version of Taco Bell sauce? I'm a huge halal, gyro, kebab fan but I was disappointed by you guys. It was $13.00 for the Lamb, rice and sauces but should have been $6.00 for how bad it was. Go to Halal Time food truck 1 block down the road, u can walk to Halal time from kebabalicious. Halal time's Lamb over rice is way better than kebabalicious for $10. I'm unhappy with my kebabalicious. I'd ask for a refund but I know they're a small business during covid. I never want to take money from small local businesses like that. The food tasted sour and not fresh. It tasted like It was going bad. I was gonna give it to my neighbor's dog but I don't think its good enough for dogs. I threw the rest in the trash. Maybe in the future I maybe brave enough to try kebabalicious again and give them another chance by buying a different dish. But it tasted so terrible. So...
Read moreI liked Kebabalicious since I moved to Austin almost 3 years ago, both their food truck and the restaurant off 7th Street. However, my experience on Friday 1/29 evening wasn’t a pleasant one, and I don’t think that I’ll go there any time soon. I made an order online and arrived to the restaurant in time to take it away. I asked the gentleman in the cashier about my order, he asked me about my name, he checked and then he told me it’d be 1 or 2 more minutes. Then I waited, and waited, and waited. He helped many customers who ordered online or who ordered from him. After almost 30 minutes I asked him again, he asked me about my name, and grabbed my order and handed it to me saying that it was there for a couple of minutes only. I took the order, and then realized that the wraps and fries were not hot, and the soft drink wasn’t cold. I went back to him, told him so, he went inside, and while I thought that he’d at least reheat the food items and replace what could be replaced (e.g. the fries and the soft drink), he came back to me with the same order and handed me a card for a free item in my next visit, saying that it was his mistake. Needless to say, I won’t be using...
