I ordered my burger on a bed of crispy brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were so salty I couldn't eat them. The burger was also salty.
I took it back to the register, and the manager instructed the cashier to have it re-made with no salt. This time, the burger and brussel sprouts were tasteless and oily. The only thing with flavor was the jam.
The burger was juicy and had a bit of pink in the center, so it may have been cooked medium well/rare (?).
The porter beer I ordered was the highlight. It came in a big frosty goblet and was fantastic! I don't know if I'll return, but if I do, it'll be for the frosty porter, not the food.
Fri., 30-Jun-2023 @ 4:15 PM Update: I've come back a week later. I'm sitting at the bar and have ordered only the porter. The two girls working the bar appear unconcerned with caring for the customers. When I sat down and asked if my beer would be $5 since it's Happy Hour, one gal seemed annoyed by question, looked askance at me, at muttered Yes, and went back to cleaning at chatting with her coworker. A few minutes after getting my beer, the same girl dryly asked if I'd be ordering any food too. I said No and she gave me the side-eye as she turned away.
She chatted happily with her coworker the rest of the time.
Look. I'm coming here after a long day of schooling and work. The last thing I need are surly bartenders who seem unenthusiastic about their own job.
The service and food are poor.
I will not return. I'll give my money to a bartender who has customer...

We heard great things about Hopdoddy and finally decided to try their burgers. Two burgers without sides came out to about $40, which felt pricey considering they were standard sized.
Cadillac Wagyu ($22.20): The price on Postmates is misleading. It shows $19.70, but when you click it, the default is Wagyu beef which adds $2.50, bringing the total to $22.20. There is no $0 patty option, so this burger can never actually be $19.70. It comes with a half pound Wagyu beef patty, Swiss cheese, steakhouse bacon, crispy fried onions, steak sauce, truffle aioli, roasted tomato, arugula, and egg buns. This burger was delicious, flavorful, and cohesive. The Wagyu patty was juicy and cooked well, and the egg buns were soft and better than typical burger buns.
Farmhouse Deluxe ($16.20) with Grass Fed Bison ($3.75): This one comes with egg buns, your choice of meat patty, steakhouse bacon, cheddar cheese, a Vital Farms egg, crispy onions, Doddy mayo, lettuce, tomato, and sliced onions. Unfortunately it was just okay. It did not have as much flavor as the Cadillac, and the bison patty was incredibly dry. Even adding sriracha did not help. If you want a good bison burger, I recommend Eureka instead. It is about the same price, but the burger is bigger and...
Read moreBeen a long-time fan of Hopdoddy since the original opened in SoCo and was excited for the Saltillo Plaza location to open. To my dismay, the new location might as well be a fast-food hamburger joint. While I am assuming they still have the better ingredients and the original burger recipes, the burgers are now cooked by a machine that sounds like a fancy George Forman grill. Insert meat, close lid, push button - except, the George Forman grill allows you to cook meat to your desired level. This doesn’t seem to have that ability and the meat comes medium+ to medium well. My personal bias has always been if you have to cook meat that much, it’s either low quality or not fresh or both. So, the end result was a dried beef patty and not the normal juicy, beefy goodness. The other complaint would be that they don’t seem to have regular bartenders like the other locations. People float in and out of the bar area, but you don’t have anyone that seems like it’s their job. FYI: there were more staff than customers working so they weren’t making up for slack somewhere else. I guess Hopdoddy has stopped being a great local burger joint and is now a full-blown chain restaurant that’s focused on efficiencies of cost and not the customer experience. Such a...
