The two men working the evening of Saturday, August 3rd made me feel objectified and harassed, and my overall experience was very uncomfortable.
First, when my friend and I ordered, the man taking our order kept winking at us with the most intentionally intense and creepy eye contact, without saying a word, just nodding while smiling and looking us up and down. I was willing to let that go considering the fact that I was there for the food.
Then, while he was preparing the food, he wasnât wearing gloves and still maintained the most invasive eye contact through the window without breaking it for what felt like forever, winking and licking his lips, seemingly trying to intimidate and/or flirt? At that point, we did not feel safe in his presence, nor did I feel safe eating the food he made. He was acting so creepy, for all I know he couldâve done something unsanitary, just for fun (such as licked my pita or even worse).
While this was all happening, the other guy kept looking at him and us, laughing and acting very suspiciously. There was a language barrier, so it was difficult to communicate and the business doesnât have any way to get in contact with whoever owns this place.
I felt harassed and intruded upon, and wasnât going to eat something made by them, especially without gloves, after he touched money/the tablet. My friend said her falafel wrap was the most dry (I saw no hummus or tahini, which was supposed to be on it), weirdly slimy tasting wrap sheâs ever had. On top of that, the side of garlic sauce tasted like WATER. No taste whatsoever, which blew my mind.. How do you mess up garlic sauce? I did try the fries and they were ok but I did not touch my wrap.
As a woman, I am disgusted and sadly not surprised that men like this could be hired to do a job that should represent good customer service and at least, the most basic level of hospitality etiquette.
Overall, sexual harassment energy service and dry,...

Read moreI'm sure this place is probably amazing if you've been drinking all night. As for a couple of people that just wanted a bite to eat, the food was barely tolerable at best.
My gyro wrap was soggy and lacking in flavor. It tasted like what I imagine a frozen pre-packaged wrap would taste like. It was a decent size, but not at all filling. My wife's salad was very small. As for the hummus I'd prefer to go to HEB and grab some boar's head; the hummus here was just bad. It was stuffed with tomatoes, cucumbers and pickles that seemed to make the hummus super watery. I'm also so confused as to what the obessession is with putting pickles on everything? They weren't very good, but also really ruin the food even more.
It was an extremely underwhelming meal. Austin's Habibi and Tarbouch have provided much better experiences and quality food, as well as larger portions, for the same...
