Pita Shack Grill — Restaurant in Austin

Unfortunately, our experience at Pita Shack Grill was quite disappointing on Saturday.

We ordered the chicken tikka, which was clearly undercooked — not just uneven, but genuinely unsafe to eat. There was no staff on the floor, just the owner running around trying to manage everything, and it showed.

When we inquired about getting a starter, the owner said, “Starter is on me, I’ll get you a good one.” After waiting 35 minutes for our food, we asked about the starter again — and he casually said they were out of pita bread. Then strangely followed it up with, “Didn’t they give it to you?” Who is they? There was no one else on the floor. I really didn't want him to offer anything free but suggestion on which appetizer to go with. That's it.

To top it off, a lady who ordered chicken tikka to-go waited for about 20 minutes, only to be told they were out of it. The owner offered her chicken sheesh kabob instead and promised free food next time — just like he did with us. But honestly, it felt like he knew no one’s really coming back after such an experience.

I appreciate small businesses and want them to succeed, but this kind of disorganized service, poor communication, and undercooked food is a serious red flag. Hope they make improvements, but I won't...

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at this incredible grill restaurant, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and the irresistible aroma of perfectly seasoned meats sizzling on the grill.

The mixed grill platter was a true masterpiece — juicy kebabs, tender lamb chops, and flavorful chicken, all grilled to perfection. Every bite was packed with rich, smoky flavor and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The sides, especially the freshly baked bread and creamy hummus, complemented the meal beautifully.

What truly set this place apart was the attention to detail. The presentation was elegant, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming — perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions.

If you’re a fan of authentic grilled cuisine, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back again...

We had lunch at Pita Shack Grill this past Thursday, June 5th — and wow, what a pleasant surprise! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a clean, inviting atmosphere that instantly made us feel welcome.

The food was absolutely superior — fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Every bite was a reminder of how good Mediterranean cuisine can be when it’s done right. The service was equally impressive. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience, and their attentiveness didn’t go unnoticed.

This was our first visit, but it definitely won’t be our last. If you’re looking for delicious food, a great vibe, and top-notch service, Pita Shack Grill is a must-try....
