Pokeworks — Restaurant in Austin

I didn't taste the food, nor bought anything, not even a cup of water but the staff letting me in to wait for a ride when it was ready so dark outside is the nicest thing someone has done for me and my safety. I was outside waiting for a ride and a man stood next to me waiting and hiding something under his shirt, he was sketchy and it made me, a 4"9 tall woman very unsafe and uncomfortable, more so when he started following me on short distances, I walked in to this restaurant and asked if I could wait inside because the man out there made me feel so unsafe and uncomfortable and they allowed me. Not many restaurants or staff are this good, one employee from another store nearby saw me and the man there and didn't ask if I was ok, they just went in and locked the doors. Again I might not have a review for food, but I have one for how kind the women in there were and I'm thankful they let me in, God knows what would've happened if the man had no good intentions and I wasn't given the chance to wait inside at such dark and dangerous hrs. I don't have a review for food but I will certainly will go and order from there soon. To the staff, thank you so much for letting me wait inside, I will always highly appreciate...

This used to be my favorite place to get a poke bowl and at times would go every other week even twice a week. I always ask for chopsticks when I pick up my order since they tend not to add them and its a dish that I prefer to eat with chopsticks, however I had a bad experience with the employees. Heres what happened: went to pick up my order and asked the cashier guy if he could please give me chopsticks and responded rudely with "There are 4 chopsticks in the bag", so I apologized for my mistake and as I was walking away the other female employees working on orders started laughing and looking at me. I heard them say "Do you heard what he said to her" and were laughing at something I didn't understand. When I got home I understood why they were laughing...there were no chopsticks in the bag. I understand this might not be a big deal, but the way they were laughing at me was rude. I'm not a rude person. I'm always polite to them. I can confidently say that I won't be coming back to this place. They lost a loyal customer. I will find another poke bowl restaurant that treats their customers...

I've ordered several times via DoorDash. I use the same order, always with 1 base of white rice. Last night's order was incorrect. It included white rice and lettuce for a base. My issues with this are: Any unrequested ingredients could be an allergen/irritant. (Not the case for me but its still super important when dealing with food.) A lot of the lettuce was rotten. Not just 'at the bottom of warm food and the lettuce was warmed up, massaged, moistened'. No, some of it was rotten. 1 piece here and there that you don't catch is one thing, this was enough that it should have been caught...like sticking to your gloves because its slimey, various shades of brown. This is concerning in general and especially so since this restaurant is dealing with raw fish. If you can't see that the lettuce is rotten, will you notice if the fish is rotten?

I will keep ordering from here and hoping my order is correct next time and all the food is still good but any other issues and I'll stop ordering here. Can't take chances...
