My family and I have been going to this place since it first opened. Always had good food and decent service. My usual dinner was always the teriyaki salmon dinner with no rice and instead of rice, extra veggies. I called for take out today to order my usual ad I have done for years to date but this time things went different. I proceeded with my order: teriyaki dinner, no rice, and instead of rice.. extra veggies, salad w ginger dressing. The woman taking my order told me "we don't give extra veggies". I thought it was a misunderstanding and explained myself once again because I've order for years and it has always been the same order. "Ma'am, I'm getting the extra veggies instead of the rice. I've ordered for years and I even order last week, may I please speak to the manager?" I explained that I've been getting this same order for years and I've always been a really good customer. "I've order twice a week for many years." In the end they would rather lose me than serve me the same dinner I've order for so many years. Shame on you Asaka.. That's not how you should treat such loyal customers. Besides the fact that Ive been getting this same meal forever for such a long time, they were willing to dump me as a customer so quickly. You gave me no explanation that the rules have now changed, no option to pay more for...
Read moreI am very disappointed. I went there for a soup. You c all these pretty soups on the pictures but that’s totally not true. I ordered one soup and my little brother ordered a different soup and they literally brought out half a bag of noodles in some soy water. It clearly said I get fish balls in the soup and my brother veggies and there was NOTHING BUT WATER AND NOODLES. They looked nothing like in the pictures. A waste of money. I spend $20 on 2 soups that were disgusting. My lil brother tried one spoonfull and almost threw up, it was like eating soy sauce. I was too embarrassed to tell them I wasn’t paying for this nasty soy noodles so I decided to just cut my loss and leave peacefully. The guy came over to my table and said “you done”? I looked at him and said yes he clearly saw two soups that were not touched. Didn’t bother to ask why or anything. Took my chopsticks and I was left sharing chopsticks with little brother. Very sad. I work hard for those 2 soups and it’s a shame they treat their...
Read moreThis used to be one of my favorite Japanese restaurants even though I live 40 minutes away.
Today it is no longer on my list of places to come. Our server was acting as if we were a bother to him and barely answered any of our questions. Upon saying how salty the soup was, he said “oh, you don’t want it?” and took it away instead of offering a replacement.
The miso soup was pure salt, the fried rice had frozen veggies (we were told they were fresh) and drenched in oil and my favorite dish, salmon teriyaki, looked nothing like it did other times. It wasn’t grilled, it wasn’t seasoned and the sauce wasn’t their typical delicious sauce but a bottled tasting sauce.
I felt ignored the entire time and after looking around, realized there was only one difference between us and the rest of the diners. My skin color.
A huge disappointment to...
