**gorgeous, swanky interior, amazing live jazz. Service was lacking My friend and I made a reservation on a Wednesday night which was easy enough. This bar is located in Harbor East, so street parking is available, as are garages. I was very excited to try this place, and the drinks did not disappoint! Very inventive and tasty. I got the Secret Handshake, which has vodka, agricole rum, and fruity notes. Very smooth and the lemon peel garnish was a nice touch! My friend got the Allegory of the Cave, which has Japanese whiskey, bermutto, among other things. He really enjoyed it! Although he said the plum at the bottom was extremely sour (which I had warned him would be!) The live jazz was great, but be aware that it ends on weekdays at 10pm. So unfortunately we only heard a few minutes before they ended for the night. I’d love to come earlier next time to experience the music more. The inside is spacious and open. The regular seats and tables are along the walls, while the piano and other instruments are right in the center. The bar seats are in the very back. Given it was a weekday night, it wasn’t very busy. Unfortunately, I found the service subpar. There was no hostess when we arrived (and we even waited for a few minutes), so we had to seat ourselves. But when we asked the bartender, she said there is always a hostess. So that was very confusing? After we sat down, we also did not get served for more than 10 minutes, despite there only being 4 or so other people there. Very strange. Once we finally flagged down the bartender, the service became much smoother thereafter. So I imagine this is a kink they need to work out (understandable, as they opened very recently). I would still happily come back though.

✨ Five Stars – A Hidden Gem in Baltimore! ✨ From the moment I walked into Order of the Ace, I was completely captivated by the ambiance. The vibes were immaculate — a perfect mix of laid-back luxury and high-end taste. The live jazz set the tone for the night, and the art deco decor transported me to another era. But the real star of the evening? Mark. His deep knowledge of Japanese whiskey blew me away. Not only did he take the time to walk me through the nuances of each pour, but he also generously offered extra tastes of some rare selections. His passion and expertise honestly made me miss Tokyo — and now I know exactly what to seek out when I return. Whether you’re a cocktail connoisseur or just looking for a memorable night out, Order of the Ace is a must. I’ll definitely be back — and I’ll be asking for Mark!

Order of the Ace♠️🍸 is a charming speakeasy hiding in plain sight in Baltimore just a few steps away from the waterfront Marriott. It’s giving Boardwalk Empire vibes via the art, the ambience, the music and of course the drinks! Our waitress was lovely offering to have the mixologist craft a custom cocktail for us. I opted for something tropical and elegant that featured St. Germain liquor; what I received was a handcrafted martini filled with refreshing flavor. If you’re in Baltimore and are looking for a hidden gem to grab a nice cocktail, and enjoy some live jazz, add Order of the Ace to your list. The only thing missing was a secret password for entry.

Went to the Ruxton for the first time with two of my friends, can say we didn’t do enough research on the dress code. So as soon as we walked in the gentleman at the host stand first words to us was “are we lost” by the way that’s a big slap in the face. after talking to him and apologizing about the dress code he brought us a coat to wear into the dining room he then started walking us to the dining room then turned around and said where would you like to be seated told him we were there for the bar he pointed at the bar and said get seated then our experience at the bar… waited 5 minutes to get our drinks not a problem threw in food and by this time our drinks were just about empty looking around to see if the bartender is going to notice an possibly come grab another drink before dinner.. that never happened. Fast forward to the drinks getting empty still no bartender an id say maybe had 7 people at the bar the. The three of us on the side piece waiting and waiting for our bartender to ask for a drink still never shows up… I say to the table I would really love to have a cocktail with our food.. that never happened he ended up coming over when we were done with our food then asked if we wanted another got another then Paid out. Working at a fine dining establishment I would never hear any of our co workers say “are you lost” or blatantly disrespect a...
