The only reason I'm giving this one star is because I can't give them a 0. This is my first time coming to this restaurant the staff was nice but the food has alot to be desired especially the Baklava and the breakfast platter which was the French toast, bacon and home fries. I bought this for my boyfriend who had nothing to eat since he worked and 18 hour shift. He immediately got sick and puked all over the place. It was this food. It is a ashame considering that my Baklava was running and soggy. I have eaten this in the past so I know what it should look like and taste like. Apparently they are not greek. I thank God I dropped my on the car floor otherwise I would have been sick too. I thought it was amazing how one particular white person raised their eyes like if they never seen a black person in there so it made me wonder if they poisoned our food. I would never go here again and I will tell everyone not too as well. I was truly disappointed since the staff was so nice. Never again. The food was...
Read moreI have lived down the street from this wonderful family restaurant for 35 years. They were here when I moved in and they have been serving me delicious food and saving me when my fridge is empty for years. The food is exactly what I want from a Greek diner. Comforting, tasty and.plentiful. They have all the classic American diner dishes, but the Greek specialties are an added treat, with homemade rice pudding and baklava along with gyros and souvlaki being my favorites. I love their Greek salad with gyro meat on it. But, they are also the best neighbors imaginable. They check on me if they haven’t seen me in a while. And they would do anything they could to help us out. I have witnessed so many acts of kindness and generosity by both the twin fathers who originally owned the restaurant and now the daughters who are keeping this family tradition alive and flourishing. If you are in the area, please treat yourself and try...
Read moreI can't say enough about this place. I have been eating here for 5 years and it has been an amazing experience. At Penn and Pratt Restaurant you are not just another customer or just another dollar, your family. They are a family owned and operated restaurant and they treat you like one of their own. The food is amazing and very reasonably priced. Nice seating and beautiful decor. You are never rushed to eat and pay. Being a frequent customer they remember my order and I feel like I'm special. They serve breakfast all day (during the hours their open) so no matter what time you will always find something that pleases your taste buds. As I mentioned before I could go on and on. However, the best thing I can say is if you don't want to take my word for it, Then try it out for yourself. YOU WILL NOT BE...
