The restaurant was STUNNING. I originally tried to place an order online but it said unavailable so I called and mentioned the online ordering was down and that I was hoping to place an order on the phone. All I was met with was a very sassy “Well we shut that off” and then the woman on the phone immediately hung up on me. I called back and politely asked if I could place an order on the phone and said no and hung up on me again. We decided to just go in and eat instead. The hostess at the stand was super rude and rolled her eyes at us when we said a table for 4 (it was only 9pm and they close at 11 so I’m not really sure what was up). The waitress went MIA for awhile and a different waitress brought us over chips for the gauc we ordered. We never were given napkins or silverware, we had to ask the guy who brought our food out for it. The waitress never even came to ask how the food was. She just took our order and then brought us the check. We could see a few of them on their phones in the back too which was super disappointing. It was super disappointing considering how great the reviews are but we were met with the WORST service from this place from the phone call, to the really rude host and our waitress who legitimately didn’t even give us silverware and just dropped the check off. She also didn’t even ask us if we wanted dessert which we were going to order but she never came back to ask us if the food was okay, if we wanted anything else, etc.. It was super disappointing. The food was great but I can’t really see myself supporting a business with...

My mother and I grabbed lunch here and sat under the ginormous canopy of leaves on the massive beech tree that serves as the central focal point of that particular dining area. The tree didn't just provide sanctuary from the shade and an incredible atmosphere, but its presence was comforting; exuding calm; wonderful.
Our food was delicious, although if you have the dreaded cilantro gene like I do, you'd be best off talking to your server about it. I forgot to, and while I was fairly careful about not getting food with cilantro, the pico is something I didn't account for. The server was kind enough to bring a small scoop of diced, plain tomato for me, but as the pico was on top of things I wanted, I spent a solid 10 minutes picking out cilantro. That was my own fault for not saying anything
We had lobster taquitos, I believe, as an appetizer. They were flavorful, although just a tad dry.
My mom had the carne asada tacos, and she is a tough cookie when it comes to food from a restaurant, as she is quite the chef herself. She LOVED them. It is rare that she raves about food, so these were pretty incredible.
I had camarones, or shrimp-avocado quesadillas with bacon and roasted tomato. They were excellent after I removed the aforementioned cilantro.
All in all, it was a great experience, and lighter on the purse strings than any of the other restaurants we hit on the Cape. We will...
Read moreCame here on a Monday night in August, around 7:30. Quoted a 20 minute wait to sit outside under the beautiful English Weeping Beech tree (could have sat inside right away); actual wait was around 30 minutes.
Upon sitting down, waitress came to the table in just a couple of minutes, and took our drink order right away while another server brought chips, dip, and water. The water cups are plastic - I only mention this because our table and the one next to us both had water glasses that suffered from slow leaks....our tables were soaked after a few minutes. Server quickly fixed the problem, and it didn't happen again. So, just be aware that may be more than just condensation on your table!
Ordered a side of guac, and a side of queso for apps. Both very good. I think the side of cheese is plenty for 2 people, the side of guac is a little smaller.
Main course was the Tres enchiladas. I switched up the Rojas from beef to cheese, and asked for more rice in place of the beans. Both requests were handled quickly and correctly....food was on the table and smoking hot within 10 minutes.
Server was attentive without being overbearing, and was very polite throughout. A great experience overall - will definitely return next time in town.
Oh, and other reviewers had me worried about lack of parking - but half a block away and across the street is a large public parking lot that had plenty of room. So don't kill yourself looking for street parking...it IS limited due to the number of restaurants and shops...
