Legacy Coffee House — Restaurant in Bay City

Nice atmosphere and nicely decorated place. However, it's the only coffee shop I've visited that makes me feel like they would rather I went elsewhere. Most baristas at coffee shops I patronize regularly seem to at least want to give customers like me a competitive price, some even look for the lowest cost alternative way to charge for the drink. Not Legacy! Their employees have always done the opposite with me. Legacy expects $7.42 for 2 double shots of espresso and 4 oz of steamed milk. I've had that drink all over the world. Coffee Shops in London, Dublin, and Chicago charge about $4-$5 USD for that drink. Legacy expects about 35-45% more than I've paid for the same drink anywhere else in Michigan (BIGGBY, H&H, and Starbucks). I received attitude for having the gaul to point that out to one of the Baristas.

When I tried to order a quad espresso shot with milk on the side I was told I had to pay the premium $7.42 price they always charge because "you want the drink you always get from here, right?"

Such a lovely spot! Warm, welcoming, and full of charm. It’s refreshing to walk into a coffee shop with real personality and heart. The staff is always kind and attentive, and I’ve had nothing but great experiences.

The drinks are delicious and priced just as you'd expect from a quality café. You can tell a lot of love goes into everything here.

Most of all, it’s a space that feels genuinely inclusive and welcoming to all kinds of people.

Some people might prefer their coffee shops a little more sterile or impersonal, but I personally love the warmth and individuality here. I’ll absolutely be coming back...

The menu for drinks is just a chalkboard with whatever they are making for the day? If there was a way to order anything else, it was not indicated by the employee. The employee was very nice in a disinterested way.

The drinks we got, I got sparkling water with flavoring. My wife got an iced coffee that was off the board, because once again there was no other menu. My wife says "the coffee at McDonald's is better"
