My husband and I decided to come in here this morning to enjoy a home-cooked feel outing together. This is our first morning together at Mandy's! We were greeted kindly and were seated fast. Both of our breakfasts came up hot and very tasty- Thank you to the chef!! The only reason this review has four stars instead of five, is due to our waitress with a blueish ponytail, that we had. We are very happy-go-lucky couple and enjoy every second we get to have out together, unfortunately our waitress did not have on a happy face, wasn't as attentive as the other waitress. She was quite rude as we were sat, asked if we wanted coffee and in fact we just wanted cold water. It seemed there was some sort of problem after that. The same waitress whom had greeted us with a big smile and good morning, (she had long blonde hair and black glasses ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐) was absolutely wonderful and thank you for being so compassionate. Clumsy me🤦🏼‍♀️, due to a medical condition, I accidentally spilled my water and she came right over, even though she was not our waitress, with napkins to help me clean up the table. We wanted to say thank you to the staff that really enjoys their job of customer service, hoping this review doesn't hurt but assists in the type of customer service everybody expects, especially when you walk in with a smile 😊

Today was our first time visiting Mandy's and we will absolutely be back! The chicken parmesan sandwich was wonderfully nestled in thick cut homemade bread and just the right amount of marinara! I hesitated on the steak sandwich as I've had mixed results at other restaurants, but Mandy's was perfect with that same homemade bread and holding up a generous steak patty covered in mozzarella and marinara. We tried the bread and cheese appetizer that was made from fresh baked bread, beautifully buttered and coated in more mozz and parm! A generous cup of marinara was on the side and looked to be homemade with a slightly sweet flavor and chunks of tomato! And the waitress was great! She was very upbeat, friendly, attentive and definitely committed to her job and the restaurant! We will be back and can't wait to try the breakfast menu!!

This is being wrote after my second visit. I came here with my stepmom, dad, and stepbrothers the first time, and my stepmom, dad, and biological brother this time. I got the sloppy joes and fries both times, and they were both wonderful! The fries were soft, but crispy enough to be somewhat crunchy, if that makes sense. The sloppy joe itself was delicious! I have a bad sensation with textures, onions being something I really don't like, but they didn't have any onion chunks in them, which was amazing! Racheal was an amazing waiter! They refilled our coffee, took our empty plates, and were just a very amazing person! I will be coming back many more times!

My first visit here was my best restaurant experience since covid-19 hit. I visited about an hour before closing. The staff was friendly and responsive. We never had to wait for refills or condiments. The eggs, sausage links, and hash browns were cooked perfectly. The hash browns were so good I didn't even put ketchup on them. The burger and tots my fiance had were perfectly cooked as well. Everything was seasoned enough without being over seasoned. Anyone who's read my other reviews knows that I'm constantly searching for perfect biscuits and gravy. This is the closest I've found in Michigan. The biscuits, which were freshly baked drop biscuits rather than the usual cut style, were served in a tall bowl, covered in gravy, with a spoon. The presentation is unusual, for sure. The gravy was tasty and not overly salty. It wasn't super greasy, either. I had the waiter pull the cook from the kitchen to tell him how well he'd done. -- My second visit, the next day, about one p.m. I ordered the tomato bisque soup, which wasn't creamy like a bisque. It was a good soup, but not exactly as described. It had more peppers than I prefer. My fiance's butternut squash soup was excellent in taste and consistency. My burger and "loaded" tots were as tasty as expected, but the bacon bits were in clumps rather than evenly distributed. The waitress warned me the tots didn't come with onions like the menu said, unless you asked for them. That's fine with me. My fiance's ham and cheese sandwich came on a French style bread which looked good. Apparently it was, since I didn't get a chance to try it ;) The iced tea wasn't as fresh on the second visit. The POS system recognized me from the first visit and emailed my receipt, which is nice. I recommend this restaurant with a full, happy stomach. Edited for clarity and to add: they were quick enough to get in, eat, and get out on a standard one hour lunch break. -- update 1/8/22 tried the sloppy joes and they are...

My family and I came into Mandy’s on a Wednesday morning to eat a few weeks ago. We had been here plenty of times and have always had the best service and the best food. We had 10 people, which we have had in the past as well. The diner had maybe 4 tables of small parties (2-4) people. When greeted by the server/host she asked how many people we had, and when I told her we had 10 she said to me “We can’t seat you without a reservation if you have 10 people”. Mind you, I’ve worked as a host for many years, my dad has been a cook for many years, and I’ve had plenty of restaurant experience to understand a busy restaurant and reservations. I responded and said, “Oh I didn’t know you needed reservations, I’ve been here plenty of times with this amount of people and I’ve never been told that.” She responded, “Well we only have one cook on Wednesdays and for that reason if you have a bigger party you need a reservation.” I then stated, “Okay unfortunately that’s never been told to us, nor would I have known that as you don’t have that posted anywhere, but we can wait if that is the issue” she then proceeded to tell me she still couldn’t seat us regardless, and I would of understood better had there been a full diner, but again, there was maybe 5 tables, and we had never had an issues.

Really disappointed in this, I understand being short staffed, but we were also not in any rush. As we all have worked in restaurant settings and understand. But I am disappointed to say I will not be returning anytime soon, and if you happen to have a party bigger than 4 people I would call ahead! We went to Laskos right after this, and they had a packed restaurant and had no...
