Salud Restaurant — Restaurant in Bend

I give every place at least two chances, so I will update my review if need be, when the time comes.

The food is really good. I had a coffee and a dessert, and they were both super delicious. There aren’t a ton of variety, but often times the most quality places don’t have a lot of options. I wasn’t exactly impressed with the customer service. Nobody was rude or anything, but I wasn’t greeted for a while because everyone was kind of just talking amongst themselves. I kind of felt like my presence was an inconvenience. The store itself has a lot of potential, and I can’t tell if they are in the middle of some kind of transition period or what, but it was kind of a mess. Definitely not dirty, but a lot going on and stuff stacked up in corners making the presentation a little less desirable.

Overall, I really like that they focus on real, raw ingredients. It’s nice to be able to go to a restaurant and know that there won’t be any animal products. I’ll definitely come back, and hopefully their presentation and service is a little...

We stayed at the Oxford during the Christmas holidays and was so grateful that Salud was just a street over from the hotel. The ladies are friendly and make organic juice FRESH to maintain the integrity of the vitamins and minerals. I added ginger to my Green Juice and requested 1/2 apple - they didn't balk at the request. Their Greek Salad is the BEST ever incredibly generous portion with the raw cashew feta cheese that will have you swooning! Beautiful handcrafted jewelry too. Wish we had more time to dive into the menu offerings... this place is the real deal. Bring cash to save the credit card fees - so grateful somewhere takes dollars and as a business owner, I don't blame them for charging a convenience fee with credit cards since I do too. Edited: moved it to 3 stars for the good food the time they were open when we went. Thank you for the reply from the business. Unfortunately, we did still come before 3 o’clock and nobody was there. Lights out, we knocked on the door. I wouldn’t care because the food was good the last time we were there except it I drove all the way over there out of our way before we were leaving town. It was Saturday 8/6 2:50 pm.

Unfortunately, we drove all the way over here to try their stuff again because we loved it the first time but they were closed before they were supposed to be closed.
