This place is a hit or miss on food. The first time I tried their avocado egg rolls, they were amazing. The second time, they were burnt and tasted fishy because the avocado was bad or something. Their peanut soba noodles are decent and I like their vegan lentil soup. The best thing about this place is their signature brews. The PM Porter is one of the best dark beers I've ever had. They get incredibly busy Friday and Saturday nights so plan accordingly. When they're so busy, I wouldn't recommend going because food comes out cold a lot. I've been here more than a handful of times and I've experienced marked inconsistensies in how they prepare food on busy days.

The service is never consistent, I know they're new still but they've giving BJ's across America, a bad rep. The hostess told us it was going to be about 45 minutes to be seated, but we say down right away in the bar area, and then watched 2 tables (large enough to sit us) sit empty all night. The service and food is extremely inconsistent. We had an awesome waiter twice and an awful waiter once. And the food, on our most recent trip, took about an hour to come out!! And then I literally couldn't cut through my chicken. Blechk. I'll give it one more chance, and then I'm done.

Ordered take out/delivery. Love this restaurant. However, I was a little upset over the size of fries I received. I ordered sweet potato fries as a separate dish, $7 dollars. And I received a side portion( I think?). Ordered burgers, they were super good. Two wedge salads, but both were made differently, which I thought was odd…but they were good. One had tomato only and the other had bacon only. Maybe I hit something weird while ordering, who knows. Mostly just hoping they fix the fry situation for anyone paying that much.

This was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time.

My friends and I (a group of six) came in after homecoming, and while I completely understand that servers may not want to wakt on a group of teenagers, we were polite and respectful throughout the entire meal. Unfortunately, we were met with unnecessary attitude and unprofessional behavior from multiple employees.

When we were first seated, our server, Matthew, seemed irritated...I assumed he was just tired after a long shift. However, when he reached when 2 people from our party arrived late, he tossed their coasters across the table to them instead of setting them down properly. It wasn’t a huge deal, but it gave a poor first impression.

The meal itself went smoothly. We weren’t loud or disruptive...just eating and talking quietly. The issues started once we received our checks. I was charged $15.99 for chicken tenders instead of $7.99 for a kids size person... I politely asked for a manager, and she quickly fixed it. Everything seemed fine until the end of our visit.

Matthew came back to the table with the checks an pointed to one of my friends, saying, “You were the only respectful one. So thank you.” The comment was uncalled for and honestly confusing, since literally did the bare minimum interactions with us during the meal... so how will he say someone is respectful or not?? None of us had been rude, so that remark felt unnecessary and out of line.

A few minutes later, another employee walked past twice with her nasty look, then came over and abruptly told us we needed to leave. Her tone was straight up RUDE and dismissive from the start. When we asked why, she first said it was because they were closing soon and we’d been there too long. When we calmly pointed out that other tables had been there longer, she changed her explanation to say we’d been “causing problems all night,” which was simply untrue.

We repeatedly asked to speak with our server or the manager, but she refused and said, “It doesn’t matter, you have to pay and leave.” When we asked again for the manager, she claimed the manager wasn’t there, which was laughable as one had helped me fix my check just minutes earlier.

Thankfully, we were able to flag down another employee who went to get the manager herself. The manager came right out, was incredibly professional and understanding, but just gave us a rushed apology rather than confronting the ongoing issue.

To add to the frustration, I also had a free Pizookie reward on my account that I mentioned to our server before paying. Matthew acknowledged it but never applied it to my check. It felt like yet another example of how little care or attention was given to our table.

Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing. I understand that everyone has bad days, but basic professionalism and respect should still be a standard, no matter who the guests are. The way our group was treated left a very...

this is genuinely the worst service i’ve ever had at a restaurant. i would like to preface this with the fact that i was in a group of friends after homecoming tonight, and i know how teenagers can be, however we genuinely did not deserve the unprofessionalism and anger we were shown. even after thinking on it for a few hours i still do not have a reason for how we were treated. Whenever we (party of 6) arrived, our server, Matthew seemed fine. His tone had seemed slightly annoyed, but i know how the food industry is, so i figured he just had a long night. However, whenever he walked to the other side of the table he threw the coasters down at my friends, rather than simply setting them on the table. Luckily, we got through most of our dinner without issue. We were not being loud, disruptive, or rude. We were simply eating and conversing as people do at a restaurant. until he handed us our checks. My friend was charged for an adult chicken tender meal rather than a kids, so she calmly asked for a manager and respectfully got the problem solved. After everyone (except one person) had paid, Matthew told to have a good night. He then pointed to one person in our group and said “you were the only respectful one. so thank you”. For reference, two people only ordered drinks, i had my boyfriend order for me, and everyone else was perfectly respectful! Considering he barely came over to check on us, we only spoke to him when ordering. So how was the entire table ill-mannered? A few minutes later, another employee comes up to our table and tells us to leave. We’re confused and start asking why. At first she tells us it’s because they are closing soon and we have been there for too long. When i correct her and tell her there were other tables there way longer than us, and ask why she isn’t telling them to leave, she then changes her reason to the fact that we were “causing problems the whole night” and we needed to pay and leave (we were waiting on one person to pay as they were in the bathroom). This whole time we are asking her to get our original server, so we can have a reason as to why we’re being told that we have to leave. Every time I asked she would immediately say “it doesn’t matter, you have to pay and leave”. At this point we asked for a manager again because it’s become more of a yelling match rather than a civil conversation. She tells us the manager isn’t there. (she just fixed one of our checks??) After another minute or so of going back and forth she leaves, and we get the attention of an employee walking our way. We ask her to get the manager for us and she immediately went to get her. The manager came right out and was very very kind to us. i’m sorry if some of this doesn’t make sense. There are a lot of details but everything happened so fast. Please work on your employees service. This was completely unprofessional, inappropriate, and ruined...

Recently me and my friends decided to end this wonderful year with a nice dinner at bjs - one of our favourite places to eat together. Unfortunately, this time we had a very unpleasant experience during our time there. Although the food was amazing - as always - the service was a big disappointment. Not only did the waiter responsible for our section not inform us properly of our drink choices for the night, he also did not let me know they did not offer Diet Coke and just brought me a Dr Pepper instead without asking. Then when it was time to order our meals he took forever to write them down. Afterwards we were ready to order one of the famous bj pizookies - a must eat while being there - he just came to our table, pick the plates up, dropped to leftover mac and cheese balls all over our table and then left without cleaning them up to get our checks. We did not have the chance to place our pizookie order and had to sit around a dirty table. We then informed him that we still wanted to order something, he let us know that they ran out of the pans but he would be able to biting them to us - packed like a to-go pizookies. We received them and started putting the ice cream on the cookie to eat, imagine my shock when he came over and raised his voice - basically screaming at us - to get us as there were other people waiting for their reservation. This obviously would have fine, if he had told us this before hand. We had a long drive home - the ice cream completely melted - and our pizookies was ruined. The cherry on top, today I checked my bank account - keep in mind - my total cake to 16$ instead I was charged with 76$! They overcharged me 60$! As a student it is hard to pay for everything while only being able to work a minimum wage job. Now I had to call them, was on the phone for a good 30 minutes, and my evening is completely ruined. Normally I do not support writing bad reviews - as I feel it is unnecessary - but I just have to share this experience. Although the food was still good I urge you not to dine there and instead spend your evening at a place where the waiters are actually kind. As someone who is not originally from the US, and loves to spines time with their friends and go to their favourite restaurant - bj - this was a very unpleasant and traumatising experience. I will not be going back! Overall I just want to say I am disappointed - this was the not the start in the new...
